I was done greeting all friends and almost all the business associates along with those who were familiar with my father in law.

So finally I decided to call it a day as my All already left and said she was not feeling well. I was about to leave saying goodbye to our families then Sarah called me from behind.

"Bhai, wait! Meet Bilal again, your classmate. He helped me when I lost my phone in Canada."

I turned around, my mood souring instantly.

Bilal.

The last person I wanted to see.

Why is he here?

"He just got back to the country two weeks ago, and we bumped into each other. We've become friends since, so I invited him to the party," Sarah explained innocently.

My fists clenched at my sides, and my jaw tightened. The memory of him kissing Aliya surged, but I forced them away.

'She's with me now. He's just her past. Don't think of anything Tahmeed' I said to myself.

But the thought of this man, someone with questionable morals, being around my sister, it didn't sit well with me.

Bilal stepped forward with a smile that I could only describe as smug. "Hey, long time no see. Congrats on the wedding, man. You are lucky. Where is Aliya? I didn't see her around."

My eyes got darker hearing my All's name on his lips. A wave of jealousy rushed through me.

"She returned home. I'm also going. Bye" I gave him a dry and short answer.

"And Sarah, mom is calling you. Go now" I said glancing at my sister.

I didn't wait for a reply as I turned on my heel and walked out. The last thing I wanted was Sarah getting close to someone like him. She's already been through enough.

When I reached home my wife was sitting on the sofa of our hall room. That heavy party dress was still on her. Though she removed the hijab. Her hair was disheveled, and there was a raw vulnerability in her eyes that made my chest tighten.

"All. Are you okay?" I asked with a concerned filled voice.

"You came," she whispered, standing and wrapping her arms around me tightly.

I hugged her back and kissed her forehead.

"Are you still feeling sick? Should we go to the doctor?" I asked while my hand was stroking her long hair.

"No, I... just miss you" she said murmuring hugging me more tightly.

I smiled that's my girl.

"You need to change and eat something. I have noticed that you haven't eaten anything at the party. Let's go back to our room" I said softly.
