As Jungkook pulled up to the address Taehyung had sent him, he couldn't help but admire the house before him. It was a masterpiece of modern architecture, combining simplicity with understated luxury. The sleek lines of the building were softened by the warm tones of natural wood and stone, while large glass windows invited the soft glow of the evening inside. The yard was meticulously landscaped, with tall trees casting dappled shadows across the cobblestone driveway. Despite its grandeur, the house exuded a sense of warmth and coziness, the kind of place where someone could easily imagine spending quiet, peaceful evenings.
Jungkook let out a low chuckle as he pulled his car into the spacious parking lot, his gaze sweeping over the beautiful home. "He arranged this house so soon?" he muttered to himself, amused.
Stepping out of the car, Jungkook glanced around, taking in the quiet neighborhood before heading toward the front door. As soon as he stepped inside, a group of maids immediately bowed to him in unison, their faces polite and composed. Jungkook frowned, visibly confused by their behavior. Before he could say anything, however, Taehyung appeared from the hallway, striding toward him with his usual air of confidence.
"Welcome, Kim Jungkook, to your new house," Taehyung said, stopping in front of him with a smug smile.
Jungkook rolled his eyes, crossing his arms and pointing a finger at Taehyung. "This is just a temporary marriage, Kim. There's no way this is going to work, and I'll make sure it ends. I know you pulled me into this for your own revenge or whatever benefit you’re after. So don’t call me Kim. Outside, I’m still Jeon."
Taehyung’s smirk widened as he waved the maids away, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "But inside this house, you're still Kim," he replied slyly, tilting his head.
Jungkook scoffed, rolling his eyes again as he tried to walk past Taehyung. Before he could take more than a few steps, Taehyung suddenly grabbed him, hoisting him over his shoulder with ease. Jungkook gasped in surprise, struggling as Taehyung carried him down the hall.
“Put me down, Kim!” Jungkook shouted, pounding his fists against Taehyung’s back.
Taehyung only chuckled, completely unfazed by Jungkook’s protests. “What’s the rush? You’ll love your new room.”
Jungkook huffed, still wriggling. “I swear, if you don’t put me down, I’ll—”
“You’ll what?” Taehyung teased, his tone playful. “Cry about it?”
“Yah! Kim, I’m serious!” Jungkook growled, kicking his legs in frustration.
Taehyung just kept smiling, easily carrying Jungkook up the stairs. “What’s wrong, Jeon? Don’t like a little affection?”
By the time they reached the bedroom, Jungkook had stopped struggling, opting instead to glare at the back of Taehyung’s head. Taehyung finally set him down on the bed, and Jungkook immediately sat up, glaring at him.
“What, you just carried me here for nothing?” Jungkook snapped, brushing his clothes off.
Taehyung turned toward the door with an infamous smirk playing on his lips. “Oh? Did you expect me to do something else?”
Jungkook rolled his eyes, exasperated. “You’re insufferable, Kim.”
Taehyung paused by the door, giving Jungkook a sly glance. “I’m going to my dad’s house. Change your clothes while I’m gone.”
Jungkook scoffed, mocking him. “Yeah, right. It’s not like I have my clothes here, genius.”
Without missing a beat, Taehyung replied, “I’ve already taken care of that. There’s a full wardrobe with everything you’ll need. Now, be good while I’m gone.” He shot Jungkook one last smirk before closing the door behind him.
