FOREVER DARK AND FOREBODING, NUMBER 13 GRIMMAULD PLACE STOOD TALL OVER THE ROAD. Although only momentarily visible to the outside world, the house's eerie stillness overshadowed the entire street, entrenching it in misery.

As per Black family tradition, Anastasia was due to spend the Christmas holidays in the stuffy, cramped house. She adored visiting as a young child, but now, as she trailed behind Narcissa down the dark and gloomy entrance hall, her enthusiasm was all but gone.

They followed the stairs all the way up to the very top, the fourth floor, where there were four bedrooms in total, two on either side of the wall. Of all the floors in the house- this was by far Anastasia's favourite.

As the eldest sisters, Bellatrix and Andromeda, had always shared their room at Grimmauld Place. Now, Andromeda was no longer an option, meaning Bellatrix got the room to herself, a fact that's quickly made clear from her delighted squealing behind the shut door.

Anastasia tread on the heels of Narcissa until they reached the room in the very back right of the corridor. On each door hung a plaque, and this particular one had "N.D.B & A.L.B" inscribed in it. She tried to ignore the way Andromeda's initials had been scratched out of the plaque next door.

Narcissa opened the door and Anastasia instantly moved in, flopping straight down on the bed and burying her face within the pillows, exhausted from the long day of travel that she hadn't yet grown used to.

"You alright over there, Annie?" Narcissa questions, a teasing smile on her face. She moves around the room, unpacking her clothes into the cupboard.

"You doing alright over there, Annie?" Narcissa questioned, a soft, teasing grin on her lips as she moved around the room, unpacking her clothes in her assigned cupboard at the end of her bed. She paused to walk over to Anastasia's bed, taking a seat beside the girl.

"Tired." Anastasia mumbled in a simple reply, putting the pillow over her face. "Headache."

"Oh, my love." Narcissa shook her head, patting her on the leg softly. "You need to unpack, or Mother will throw a fit. Come on, then you can sit down. Do you want some help?"

Anastasia shook her head and groaned, lifting herself into a standing position. "I got it." She crossed the room towards the trunk her parents sent over, opening it up. "I don't understand why we couldn't go back home first." She grumbled, sorting through her possessions. "We didn't need to come directly here."
