I groaned as I took another punch. These random guys are getting on my nerves.

I spit the blood out as I held myself against against the wall, keeping my balance.

"Morons," I mumbled as I whipped the blood away with the back of my hand.

"Heh, the little girl can speak, thought you were on mute." One of them spoke out, his lips curled into a mocking smirk.

"She's a smartass. Maybe she needs another beating." One of the other guys approached, rubbing his knuckles.

"Maybe a few more hits, and she'll shut up, don't you think?" The third spoke, grinning.

They all began to chuckle and approach me, their steps becoming a menacing echo in the empty alleyway.

"Hey." Suddenly, a deep voice from behind the group interrupted their advances.

The group paused, their arrogant grins faltering as they turned to face the source of the voice.

I managed to see the man's face. Blonde hair, same rich cold blue eyes. Antonio. My male best friend.

Antonio stood in the alleyway, his hands casually shoved into his pockets, a calm expression on his face. His sharp gaze scanned over the group before shifting to me, his eyes momentarily revealing concern and anger.

The group of men quickly composed themselves, but Antonio's stoic demeanour made it clear they weren't amused.

"Who the hell are you?" One of the men, the one I assumed was the leader, growled at him.

Antonio chuckled softly, his eyes narrowing. "That's not important. What's important is that you boys don't have the right to put your hands on a lady."

The leader, clearly annoyed, stepped towards Antonio, trying to appear menacing. "And who the hell do you think you are to decide that, pretty boy?"

Antonio's smile didn't falter. In fact, it seemed to broaden slightly.

"Someone who's about to teach you some manners." As soon as the words left his mouth, Antonio launched himself forward, his fist slamming into the leader's face with brute force.

The impact sent the leader sprawling onto the ground. In that moment, the other two men lunged at Antonio, shouting in anger and surprise. Antonio effortlessly dodged their attacks, his moves fluid yet precise.

I leaned myself against the wall. My vision was blurry, and my head was spinning.

Antonio moved with a mixture of speed and grace, evading every punch and kick, counterattacking with deadly precision. Within moments, the two other men were on the ground, groaning in pain, much like I was earlier.

A tense silence hung in the air as Antonio stood amidst the crumbled figures. His breathing was steady, but there was a hint of satisfaction in his expression.

He turned his attention to me, his eyes scanning my condition.

He approached me, his cold expression softening as he got closer.

"Are you okay?" His tone lacked its usual bite, revealing his actual concern.

"I've... been better..." I managed between gasps for air, trying to keep my balance.

My head was spinning more than ever.

Antonio stood in front of me, his eyes scanning my face. There was a flicker of something in his gaze, but it was hard to tell due to my blurry vision.

"Can you walk?" He asked bluntly.

"I-I think so... Just dizzy, that's all..." I answered, slowly trying to push myself off the wall, my legs feeling like jelly.

Antonio watched my movements, his gaze sharp. He took a step closer, one hand going around my waist, the other supporting my shoulder.

"You're not leaving my side till we get you home," he said firmly.

Despite my dizziness and aching body, I couldn't help but roll my eyes, even though he couldn't see it.

"I'm perfectly capable of walking, you know," I retorted, albeit weakly.

"Not in the condition you're in, you're not," Antonio replied, his tone leaving no room for argument.

He pulled me closer, practically supporting most of my weight, and started leading me out of the alley.

I didn't protest further, the pain in my body and the dizziness making it hard to argue. I leaned into him, my head feeling like it weighed a ton.
