𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑹𝑻𝒀; 𝑰𝑵𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑴 𝑳𝑰𝑽𝑬

Paige woke up, and instantly had a smile on her face seeing the girl cuddling with her before she had an even wider one, remembering the contents of last night. She glanced at Sloane once again, still deeply asleep, her face buried in the pillow, lips slightly parted in a way that made Paige's heart soften. It wasn't often that she saw Sloane like this, so peaceful and vulnerable.

A smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she quietly slid out of bed, careful not to disturb her. The room still smelled faintly of perfume, sex and alcohol, the remnants of last night's celebration. As much as she wanted to curl back into Sloane's arms, Paige figured she'd let her sleep in a little longer. Besides, the noise coming from the living room told her that her teammates were already up and at it despite last night.

Paige slipped on one of her own hoodies inhaling the scent of what somehow was Sloane's lingering perfume, and made her way out of the bedroom. The moment she stepped into the hallway, she could hear laughter mixed with excited chatter, a telltale sign that her friends were on one of their instagram lives.

In the living room, KK was holding up her phone, the camera angled towards a spread of Crumbl cookies on the coffee table. Nika was beside her, inspecting the cookies with intense concentration and excitement while Aubrey, Jana, Carolina, and Azzi lounged around on the couches. It looked like they were getting ready for their weekly cookie review.

Paige leaned against the doorway for a moment, watching them be stupid. She couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of Azzi arguing with Jana over which cookie they should taste first.

"Yo, look who it is!" KK exclaimed, spotting Paige.

The live chat instantly blew up. Paige could see the comments flooding in, hearts and excited emojis popping up on the screen. She gave a small wave, her lips quirking into a smirk.

"Good morning, P boogers!" Aubrey teased, raising her eyebrows.

"Afternoon, actually," Nika corrected with a playful grin, gesturing to the clock.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Paige rolled her eyes and crossed the room, plopping down on the couch next to Carolina. The girls all exchanged quick looks, knowing smirks flashing on their faces as Paige got comfortable. She glanced at the comments rolling in on KK's screen and squinted, realizing many of them were asking about Sloane.

"Where's Sloane??"
"Is Sloane still sleeping??"
" Is Sloane there too??"

KK burst out laughing, holding her phone up closer to her face as she read one of the comments aloud. "Someone- everyone wants to know... where's Sloane at?"

Paige raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into a smug smile. "why yall worried about where my girl is at." she replied, her voice dripping with playful possessiveness.

Nika, sitting on the edge of the couch, silently nodded in approval, smirking at the comment. Paige's response only made the chat go wild, comments pouring in faster than they could read.

"Y'all are crazy," Jana laughed, shaking her head at the screen. "We're here to review cookies, not gossip about Paige's love life."

"Right," Azzi chimed in, leaning over the coffee table and grabbing one of the cookies. "We got more important things to handle." She winked at Paige before taking a dramatic bite, making everyone crack up.

Just as they were about to finally get into the review, the bedroom door creaked open, and Sloane stepped out, rubbing her eyes and looking a little disoriented from sleep. She was wearing nothing but Paige's hoodie and a pair of shorts, her hair still slightly tousled.

"There she is!" Carolina shouted, pointing at her with exaggerated enthusiasm.

The live chat exploded again, the comments now solely focused on Sloane. Paige watched as Sloane wandered over, giving her a sleepy grin before plopping down beside her on the couch. The moment Sloane sat down, Paige slid her arm around her waist, pulling her in close. She didn't miss the way the live chat absolutely blew up with heart emojis and comments calling them cute.

KK scanned the comments, squinting a bit as she read one aloud. "Sloane, you looking fine as hell today." Sloane laughed, her voice still raspy from sleep. "aww thank you guys" she said blushing.

Paige rolled her eyes playfully, her fingers tightening their grip on Sloane's waist. She didn't say anything, but the smallest flash of jealousy rippled through her. She knew it was silly, but the thought of people openly thirsting over Sloane on live made her want to claim her even more. She shifted her body closer, resting her head on Sloane's shoulder.

"Alright, focus!" Nika called out, grabbing everyone's attention. "Let's get to these cookies, pleaseee"

Sloane reached for a cookie, breaking it in half before offering the other half to Paige. They both took a bite, and as soon as the sugary goodness hit their tongues, Sloane made an exaggerated face of bliss. "Oh my god, this one's is so good."

The girls all chimed in with their own thoughts, tossing out over-the-top descriptions of the cookies. Paige felt her shoulders relax a bit as the conversation shifted away from the comments. She stole another glance at Sloane, who was busy reading another compliment from the live, and just shook her head, amused by the effect Sloane seemed to have on everyone, including herself.

As the live review went on, the energy remained light and fun, with the girls making jokes and the chat staying engaged. But through it all, Paige kept her hand firmly on Sloane's waist.

After what felt like forever KK finally wrapped up the live. "Alright, bye y'all i'll go live again later!" She waved at the camera as everyone else said bye as well before ending the stream. The room immediately relaxed as everyone leaned back and sighed in contentment.

"Well, that was fun," Aubrey said, stretching her arms.

"Yeah, we killed it," Azzi added, still nibbling on a cookie.

Sloane stood up, stretching, and looked over at Paige. "Alright, I should probably head back to my dorm before Haven thinks I went missing."

Paige pouted but stood up alongside her. "You sure you don't wanna spend the night again?

Sloane got on her tippy toes and pressed a soft kiss to her lips. "I'll see you soon. Don't worry."

The girls around them all playfully groaned at the PDA. Paige just rolled her eyes, giving Sloane one last hug and kiss before letting her go. As Sloane grabbed her things and waved goodbye to everyone, Paige couldn't help but feel warmth spread through her chest. Watching her leave, she smiled to herself, already missing her girlfriend.

A/ N : well yall my softball game got canceled AGAIN. so im here writing this! and i literally haven't had practice or a game in almost 2 weeks😓😓 and my first practice for school is monday🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫
