Unfortunate Paths.

[ CONTINUING ]

"You know.. too.. TOO.. much."

Sonic mumbled as the wind blew. Making his headband fall forwards, forcing it to cover his eyes for a few seconds.

"Fuck-.."

With Sonic being distracted for a moment, it gave Knuckles a chance to quickly run off.

The moment Sonic fixed it, he was greeted with nothing. Causing him to go silent as he clenched his fists.

".. oh he's just making this even more worser than it should be."

He dashed off, looking around as he dragged his hammer across the ground, looking around as his eyes were wide. He frowned as minutes passed and he wasn't able to find him.

"COME OUT YOU WEAK BASTARD! HIDING WON'T GET YOU ANYWHERE!"

He said, while almost having the temper of a child who's about to throw a tantrum in a supermarket.

His patience was wearing thin as he tore everything in his way. Not the flickies obviously, those little things-.. uh.. are his literal biggest weakness.

The silence was deafening. Making Sonic groan as he swung the hammer at a random tree, making it.. actually fall off. As in-.. ugh. I don't know how to describe it. But yeah.

"COME OUT!"

You'd think that the echidna would come out of this fine and dandy.. but how about this.

Sonic saw a tinge of dull red spikes. It looking.. out of the ordinary. As in like an anomaly. He went on over to it, staying as silent as a mouse. Looking down as his grin widened.

There was the echidna.

"THERE YOU ARE!"

Sonic giggled as he tackled Knuckles, pinning him down against the ground as his voice dropped into a whisper.

"Number one tip.. DON'T.. run off."

Sonic brought his face closer to Knuckles's as the echidna tried to fight back. But.. nothing worked for some reason.

Sonic pulled back. Raising his fist as he swung. Doing it multiple times as blood seeped out from the echidna's mouth. And when he was dazed enough, Sonic got off of him. Grabbing his hammer for the last part of what he wanted to do.

He swung, bashing it into Knuckles's face as he slowly started to look unrecognizable. But then.. he threw it away. Grabbing a nearby branch as he aimed it down at Knuckles's chest.. and pierced it through. Splattering blood onto himself.

He laughed, it echoing through the forest as he backed up from the dead body. Looking down at his hands as he licked some of the blood-.. ew. Just ew.

He soon enough came back to his senses as he suddenly got a call. Answering it as he smiled.

"Hii Tai-"

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?"

That caused Sonic to flinch as he rolled his eyes.

"Angel Island? Duh. You should know that!"

"Sonic, you KNOW just how bad this tracker can for some reason get. Even my other attempts at making one sucked ass!"

".. ugh.. touché. I'll head over soon. Just.. wait another hour or two. M'kay? Bye, little buddy."

"Bye!"

Tails then hung up as Sonic sighed softly to himself, putting his device away as he took himself on a walk home.

Meanwhile with the two at home..

Tails led him to the guest room, trying his hardest best to make sure that Shadow was comfortable with everything.

"You can stay in here for the time being! Since.. no one really owns that room.."

Tails smiled as he left the room, leaving Shadow by his own.

Shadow looked around, sitting on the bed as he took his cloak off. The bandages being visible now. Wrapping his arms around himself as he stayed silent. He wasn't used to having people care for him. But he wasn't complaining. He didn't mind it really.

He looked over to the remote, and then over to the TV as he gently grabbed the remote. Turning the TV on as he had a few moments to himself.
