*Calvin's POV*
I honestly don't know what to make of what has unfolded this week.
Aside from Wednesday, I have spent every day after practice with Courtney. Her friends.
In her car, her house, my room, our pool before dad gets home from work, the beach behind my house. All examples of places she's had her tongue in my mouth and I've loved every minute of all of it.
But right now it is Saturday, her party is in full bloom, the entire football team is here, well, half of the school is here, and I am in her back yard with Tucker, Colten, Ricky and Raygan.
And Raygan was just staring at me, eyebrows raised.
"Why are you looking at me like that you psycho." I laughed and took a drink of my beer.
"Please don't." Tucker shook his head.
"You've spent the entire week with Courtney." She nodded.
"Ok, and?" I scrunched my face.
"Cal, love you dearly, but it's not a good idea." She shook her head. "Courtney is-"
"Perfect." Colten nodded.
"Hot." Ricky laughed.
"Stacked to the nines." Tucker nodded.
She turned and glared at him. "Shut up."
"Why is it not a good idea, it feels like a great idea." I nodded.
"Because the minute she gets what she wants she's going to drop you Calvin." She sighed. "I'm just-"
"Calvin!" Someone yelled from behind us.
I turned, and Holly Manson was walking over to us.
"So we're going to go." Tucker grabbed Raygan and pulled her away, Colt and Ricky followed.
"Hi Holly." I gave her a small smile. "What can I do for you?"
"Oh I just wanted to tell you you helped with a damn good party." She nodded and handed me another beer bottle."
I laughed. "I just moved things around."
"Well, now I know where to get some muscle when I throw parties too." Her smile grew. "You, looked great on the field this week."
"Thank you. Cory uh, he's persistent when he wants something." I nodded and opened my bottle.
"A lot of us are." She nodded and attempted to twist her cap. "But he definitely has a reason to be with you."
"Here." I held my hand out.
She took it, handed me hers, and I opened it for her.
"Thank you." We exchanged bottles, but then this girl grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her. "Do you like, persistence?"
"I uh." I cleared my throat. "I don't really know. I've never-"
"Calvin." Cory came over and threw his arm over my shoulder. "You should come with me, right now." He nodded. "Like right this second." He said through gritted teeth.
"What? Why?" I shook my head.
"Holly!" A girl yelled from beside us.
"Fuck." Cory whispered. "That's why."
Courtney came over, stood in front of me, and crossed her arms.
"Courtney." Holly rolled her eyes.
Courtney shook her head and turned to face me. "Do you remember that promise you made to me Monday? Alone time?"
