Once upon a Frost

Freedom and a home

Jack stumbled as he was finally free from that cursed prison of an amulet that he was tricked into wearing. He blinked his bright blue eyes rapidly to focus as he held his staff close as his body shook from the effects of the dark magical item. His frosted blue eyes looked up at the person who set him free after many centuries in it. He sees a young boy with short brown hair and honest eyes full of a true believer of magic.

“T-Thank you…for freeing me….” Jack’s voice shook as his body adjusted to its new found freedom. He still felt weak and he could barely stand as he desperately held on to his staff. The boy rushed over to him once his shock subsided and held him up.

“Hey are you alright?!” The brown hair boy asked as he guided the pale young man to a chair to rest. “I…I am just tired….300 years in that amulet isn't healthy even for a spirit. I'm Jack by the way. Jack Frost.” The snow spirit chuckled. 

“I’m Henry Mills. It's nice to meet you, Jack Frost.” Henry gave the winter spirit a smile.

“You are quite calm for someone meeting a supposed ghost.” Jack was quite surprised at Henry’s calmness.

“Well you aren't the first fairytale being I met. Actually you're in a whole town of them.” Henry explained as Jack gapes at him. “A…a whole town?” Jack was at a loss as he processed the information. If there were other magical beings, would they see him? Will he finally find a place that will be accepted and seen? He felt excitement and nervousness. He was alone for so long and he didn't want to let go of this chance.

“Do…do you think others will accept me there?” Jack held his breath despite not needing to breathe.

“Yeah they will. Believe me you are going to fit into Story Brooke Jack.” Henry stood up and held his hand out to Jack which Jack took as a new life began for him.
