The next morning, everyone gathered downstairs, ready to continue their journey. Qu WeiYin pulled Chang SiYu aside for a private conversation.

"What? You're staying here?" Chang SiYu exclaimed, surprised. "Little Martial Aunt Qu, if it's important, let me stay and help you."

"No need," Qu WeiYin shook her head. "Take them to Xu Mi Villa. It's far, don't delay."

Chang SiYu wanted to argue, but Qu WeiYin's glance silenced him, leaving him no choice but to agree.

Luo JinXiao followed the group out of town, feeling uneasy.

Lu FanZhi, having slept well, was in high spirits, humming and oblivious to Luo JinXiao's discomfort. Luo Ning, however, noticed and quietly approached her sister. "Sister, what's wrong?"

"Is it because you're worried about Little Martial Aunt Qu?" Luo Ning guessed accurately, seeing Luo JinXiao frequently looking back.

"I'm not worried. With her cultivation level, what do I have to worry about?" Luo JinXiao bit her nails, tossing her hair. "But Little Martial Aunt was... a bit unwell last night."

Luo Ning nodded. "Oh."

"She's also a bit impulsive." Luo JinXiao switched fingers to chew.

"Oh." Luo Ning continued nodding.

"Do you think she might get agitated and wipe out the entire town?" Luo JinXiao wondered aloud, frowning at Luo Ning.

"That's ridiculous. Little Martial Aunt Qu isn't a demon. She might be strict, but she wouldn't kill people. You can't insult her like that," Lu FanZhi interjected seriously.

"Sorry," Luo JinXiao raised an eyebrow.

They walked in silence for a while, Luo JinXiao's mind still restless. Finally, she flicked her hair back and whispered to Luo Ning, "I'm going back to check. If Chang SiYu asks, say I went to find Little Martial Aunt."

"Okay," Luo Ning whispered back. "Sister, let me go with you."

"It's fine, don't worry," Luo JinXiao reassured her, patting her neck before disappearing.

"Hey, where did Luo JinXiao go?" Lu FanZhi puffed her cheeks, holding a bun, and asked in surprise.

By then, Luo JinXiao had already arrived at the deserted part of town. She sheathed her sword gracefully and ran to the inn. Unlike the previous day, the inn was now bustling with people in strange attire, mostly black robes, each carrying a sword.

Her green clothing stood out.

Ignoring their stares, Luo JinXiao walked into the inn, coming face-to-face with the innkeeper, who stopped abruptly and stared at her.

"Aren't you continuing your journey, miss? What brings you back?" he asked.

"Oh, I came back to find someone," Luo JinXiao replied kindly.

"Looking for that beautiful young lady? She's still in her room. Please, go ahead," the innkeeper gestured for Luo JinXiao to enter, but as she passed, he added, "If she's still here, make sure not to leave your room tonight, no matter what you hear."
