The morning sun cast its warm and vibrant light into the halls of the Rowan castle, the sun beams illuminating the hall of portraits on the walls depicting the royal family. At a table sat Prince Rylan and his brother Prince Robin, eating their breakfast as the morning sky slowly turned purple and pink and the sun broke over the horizon. "I heard there's going to be a The Dragonflame Trials next month. Are you going to be able to keep up?" Prince Rylan asked his brother, Prince Robin, who was sitting right next to him eating his breakfast as well. "The Dragonflame Trials? Is that some kind of new magic? I don't think I've heard of it," Prince Robin replied. "What is The Dragonflame Trials anyway?" "The Dragonflame Trials is a competition where you'll be fighting on your skills with other princes and princesses of our age to win a dragon. There are only three dragons and the only time you can compete for them is when you reach the age of 18," Prince Rylan explained to his brother, and then continued "It would be so shameful if we lost to those others!" "Oh, that sounds like a tough fight! But it also feels like such a big reward!" Prince Robin replied. "I can't wait to win a dragon!" "It does sound like a big reward, but don't get ahead of yourself. We have to win first! I know we will!" Prince Rylan said with determination on his face. "You are on your own in the The Dragonflame Trials, kid. Nobody is allowed to help the prince and princess who are entering. You win your dragon on your hard work alone and not with cheating. I won mine when I was 18, and so can you." King Richard spoke to his son with a tone of encouragement and determination.

As the morning sun rose over the Crescent castle, its warm light shining through the curtains of the dining hall, Prince Charles and Princess Claire were sitting at their family's dining table eating their breakfast. "Ready for the The Dragonflame Trials?" Prince Charles asked Princess Claire with a grin on his face. Prince Caleb, sitting nearby and overhearing the conversation, chimed in with "Princess, women have a very low chance of winning. The only women that have dragons are mom, and the queens of Ember and Rowan. Don't get your hopes up." He added with a smug grin on his face. That's true, there are only three dragons awarded to the winners each year, and only the royal families have them. No other soul in the land has a dragon other than the royal families.

King Edwin and Prince Eric were riding their horses through the beautiful lands of Ember, the sun shining overhead, when the king spoke to his son. "Son, prepare yourself for the The Dragonflame Trials. You can't let us down, you know?" King Edwin spoke to his son with a tone of determination and hope. Prince Eric simply looked back at his father with a serious expression and nodded .Prince Eric replied "Don't worry Father, by the end of The Dragonflame Trials I will have my very own dragon."

The three of them were very excited at the same time, very nervous and excited thinking about the victory and the changes which will happen in their life after owning a dragon. It's been a dream for all the royal family members to win their own dragon and sure every member achieved it. Nervous about what if they lose what about their dream, about the people of their kingdom, their failure meant the failure of their family, the failure of their kingdom and the failure of their whole society. They don't want to disappoint them, they would never let their people's heads hang down.
