Newt is lying on the ground and Thomas is bent over him, giving him water. im not entirely sure he is alive. I stand horrified at a distance, then run over to Newt when Thomas gets up.

"Newt!" I whisper, urgently shaking him; willing him to open his eyes.

He shudders, then opens his eyes. "____ " he says.

I'm so overjoyed that he isn't dead that I climb half on top of him to give him a hug. "Are you okay?" I question. "Are you in any pain?"

He props himself on his elbows and looks away from me for a moment. He then looks back and says, smiling a little, " I want to do something so bad it almost hurts." I shift away from him a bit, unsure of what to do. "You're sitting on me," he whispers. I immediately begin to move off him, embarrassed of our position. Straight away, he grabs my arm, pulling me back on top of him.

"I didn't say you should go," he pauses. "I just thought you'd like to know."

Rather flustered, I shift again. My mouth is dry; my brain is going to fast to process. "What..." I hesitate. "What did you want to do?"

He looks at me, right in the eyes and I managed to maintain eye contact. "I want to kiss you," he says in that lovely accent. I breathe in sharply. I search his eyes, trying to tell if he's joking or not. It seems not, but i go on looking. He looks slightly disappointed at my lack of response, the light slowly fading out of his eyes. But then I decide not to disappoint him anymore, and kiss him.

Ecstasy. Euphoria. Bliss. Elation. Triumph. Satisfaction. Warmth. That's what I feel. But somehow combined into one. Walking through the park, watching a sunset. Sitting in front of a fire on a cold day. Moonlight on the sea. Blowing dandelions.

Eventually, unhurriedly, we part. I'm still in another world. A world of peace, happiness, love. But unfortunately I come back to earth and open my eyes. Newt's looking at me, smiling. And I know its gonna be OK.
