Yug side

The next morning at Singh Mansion was a typical one. Preet was in the kitchen, efficiently rolling out parathas while humming a soft tune. Sarabh sat at the dining table, engrossed in his newspaper, his reading glasses perched on his nose. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and warm ghee wafted through the house. However, there was an unusual tension in the air, especially for Yug, who was running late. His mind had been in disarray since his encounter with Naina at the networking event the previous night.

Preet called out from the kitchen, her voice echoing through the mansion, "Yug, jaldi karo! Tumhari coffee thandi ho jaayegi!"

"Haan, Mom, aa raha hoon!" Yug responded as he hurriedly adjusted the cuffs of his crisp white shirt and blue denim jeans , smoothing out the slight wrinkles, and ran a hand through his neatly combed dark hair. His tailored charcoal trousers hung perfectly, and he exuded an air of calm authority, even though his thoughts were far from it.

As Yug descended the stairs, his younger sister Vaniya, seated at the breakfast table, immediately locked onto him. Dressed in a stylish teal kurti with ripped jeans, her hair tied back in a casual bun, she was scrolling through her phone but couldn't resist poking fun at him.

"Good morning, Bhai! Raat ko sapne achhe aaye honge?" Vaniya's mischievous tone was unmistakable.

Yug sighed, already anticipating her teasing. "Vaniya, not today. I have a lot on my plate."

But Vaniya wasn't one to let go easily. "Acha? Aur kal raat ke baare mein? Networking event, ya phir... Naina ke baare mein kaun batayega?" she added with a wink, her smile widening as she saw Yug's discomfort.

Preet, carrying a plate of steaming parathas, placed them on the table, her curiosity piqued. "Yug, yeh Naina kaun hai? Kal kuch suna tha maine. Tumhare dad ko pata hai iske baare mein?"

Before Yug could respond, Sarabh folded his newspaper and looked over the top of his reading glasses with an amused smile. "Haan beta, Naina kaun hai? Café se networking event tak kaafi mulakatein ho chuki hain, it seems."

Yug groaned inwardly. He was being cornered. "Dad, it's nothing like that. We've just crossed paths a couple of times. It's strictly professional."

Vaniya snorted, stifling a laugh. "Professional? Bhai, agar woh ladki tumhare dimaag se nikal nahi rahi, toh it's definitely more than professional."

Preet smiled softly as she placed a paratha on Yug's plate. "Jo bhi hai beta, we're just happy tumhare kaam ke alawa koi aur cheez tumhara dhyaan khinch rahi hai. Waise bhi, tum kabhi apni personal life ke baare mein baat nahi karte."
