As Abhimanyu processed Neil’s words, a chill ran down his spine. The hospital's sterile lights flickered overhead, casting ominous shadows on the walls.

"She just disappeared?" Abhimanyu muttered, his mind scrambling for an explanation. He felt a surge of panic rise within him. "Did anyone see her leave?"

Neil shook his head, frustration and worry etched into his face. "No, but she can’t have gone far. It’s like she vanished into thin air."

Abhimanyu’s jaw clenched as his mind raced through possibilities. Just as he was about to respond, his phone buzzed in his pocket.

He pulled it out, frowning at the unknown number flashing on the screen. Hesitating for a split second, he answered.

A distorted voice, chilling and unfamiliar, echoed through the line.

"If you want to see Aarohi alive again, you'll do exactly as I say."

Abhimanyu's breath caught in his throat, his heart pounding in his chest as the line went dead.

Aarohi was gone, and this was only the beginning.

Abhimanyu stood frozen, his grip tightening around the phone as the reality of the situation settled in. His mind was already racing through potential threats, enemies, and people who might want to harm Aarohi. But why? And why her?

"Who was it?" Neil asked, noticing the change in his brother's expression.

Abhimanyu's eyes flickered with intensity as he shoved the phone back into his pocket. "Aarohi's been taken. Someone's holding her."

Neil’s face paled. "What? Who? Why would someone—"

"I don’t know," Abhimanyu cut him off, pacing the length of the hallway. "But they want something. And I’m going to find out what."

Before Neil could respond, Abhimanyu’s phone buzzed again. Another unknown number. Without hesitation, he answered.

"You’re smart, Dr. Birla. I hope you’ll stay that way," the voice taunted, this time clearer. "If you call the police or try to involve anyone else, you’ll never see her again. Understand?"

Abhimanyu’s pulse quickened. "What do you want?"

There was a pause on the other end, as if the caller was relishing the moment. "All in good time. For now, just follow my instructions, or she dies."

The line went dead again.

Abhimanyu clenched his fists, the weight of the situation bearing down on him. Neil stepped closer, his face taut with concern.

"What did they say?" Neil asked, trying to keep his voice steady.

"They didn’t say much," Abhimanyu muttered, his mind already working out a plan. "But we can’t wait around. I need to figure out who’s behind this."

Neil hesitated. "But if they find out we’re investigating—"

"We’ll do it quietly," Abhimanyu interrupted, his voice hard and determined. "Whoever this is, they want something from me. We need to find out what, and fast."

Neil nodded, though the fear for Aarohi lingered in his eyes. "I’ll help. Whatever you need."

Abhimanyu met his brother’s gaze, the weight of unspoken emotions passing between them. There was no time for hesitation. Aarohi's life was on the line.
