"Are you going to be busy again in your office?" I asked and laid beside him in the bed, we plan to binge watch in netflix.
"Tomorrow oo, but today I decided to free my time just for you, by the way anong oras nakauwi si Vinny kahapon? How was the food he cooked?" Tanong nya. "Vinny went home straight after the dinner and the food he cooked was so good, no wonder." Sagot ko.
"He really cooks good food, he learned a lot from our mom. Sabi nga namin ni Simon, si Vinny ang pinaka-spoiled pagdating sa kitchen," natatawang sabi ni Sandro. "But I'm glad you liked it."
I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder. "Yeah, he's great. Nakakatuwa rin siyang kausap, he made me feel a bit better about... you know, everything."
Sandro turned to me, his expression softening. "I'm glad Vinny was there for you. Alam ko it's been hard lately, lalo na sa family mo. But you don't have to go through it alone, okay? Nandito lang ako."
"Thank you," I whispered, my heart warming at his words. "You always know how to make me feel better, Sandro."
He kissed the top of my head and smiled. "Of course, para sayo lagi akong may oras." Then he grabbed the remote and smirked. "Now, let's get started sa series. Magtampo pa si Netflix kung di natin siya pansinin."
I chuckled, feeling lighter as I looked up at the screen. Even if life was complicated, moments like these reminded me that I wasn't alone—and maybe, just maybe, things would turn out okay.
As we settled in and started the series, Sandro suddenly paused it and turned to me with a mischievous grin. "Wait, baby, serious question—team popcorn or team chips? Kasi ako, I think team popcorn is the only acceptable answer."
I gave him a playful glare. "Excuse me? Team chips forever! Hindi ko gets kung bakit gustong-gusto ng mga tao yung popcorn, it gets stuck sa braces ko dati kaya na-trauma ako!"
"Ah ganun ba?" He raised an eyebrow, smirking. "Eh paano na 'to?" He pulled out a big bowl of freshly popped popcorn from behind the bed.
I gasped, acting overly dramatic. "Betrayal! May popcorn ka na pala, hindi mo pa sinasabi sa'kin! I thought we were in this together!"
Sandro laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Gusto ko lang naman na ipakita sayo ang 'true love' ng popcorn. Baka sakaling mabago ko isip mo."
"True love daw," I said, rolling my eyes but smiling nonetheless. "Okay, fine. Pero 'di ako magpapatalo. Magdadala ako ng chips next time at papatunayan ko sayo na chips ang tunay na true love ko."
He popped a piece of popcorn into his mouth and leaned in closer. "Deal. But for now..." He offered me a piece, holding it up to my lips. "Tikman mo na, baka sakaling magustuhan mo ulit."
I took the popcorn and ate it, pretending to consider it seriously. "Hmm... okay, not bad. Pero di pa rin ako sold."
Sandro shrugged, then leaned in and whispered, "What if I bribe you?" He quickly kissed me on the cheek and grinned.
I giggled and playfully pushed him away. "Hay nako babe! Bribery agad? Baka kailangan mo pang dagdagan ng isa pang kiss para magbago isip ko."
He chuckled, cupped my face, and planted a sweet kiss on my lips this time. "Better?"
"It's not enough, isa pa." I answered as I raised my index finger asking for one more kiss.
He grinned, clearly amused by my request. "Alright, if that's what my queen demands..." He leaned in again, his lips brushing softly against mine. This time, the kiss lingered, warm and sweet, making my heart flutter.
