Back at Tae’s apartment, the air was tinged with a bittersweet feeling of departure. As soon as they entered the living room, Tae slipped off his jacket and tossed it onto the couch, looking at Ria with a soft smile. “I’m going to make us something simple for dinner. You can relax for a bit,” he offered, heading toward the kitchen.

Ria watched him for a moment, her heart swelling with love. She could tell he was trying to keep the mood light, but underneath his calm demeanor, she could sense the weight of their impending separation. She didn’t want their last night together to be clouded by worry, so she decided to focus on something that would keep her mind occupied—and hopefully make the distance feel a little less daunting.

“I’ll start packing your things while you cook,” she called after him, receiving a nod in return.

Heading to the bedroom, Ria pulled Tae’s suitcase from the closet and began gathering his essentials: shirts, pants, jackets, and a few of his favorite accessories. As she folded each item carefully, an idea sparked in her mind. She reached for a small notepad from Tae’s nightstand, quickly scribbling down little notes filled with love, encouragement, and playful reminders to think of her. Each note found its way into a pocket or folded between his clothes, one for every day of the two weeks he’d be away.

For Day 1, she wrote:
*“Just left, but I already miss you. Stay strong, love—you’ve got this!”*

For Day 7, a bit more playful:
*“Halfway there! Don’t forget to send me a pic with that outfit—you know the one I love!”*

And for Day 14, she scribbled:
*“Coming home to me soon... I can’t wait to hold you again.”*

She smiled to herself, imagining his reactions when he discovered the notes throughout his trip, knowing they’d remind him of her even from miles away.

Just as she finished, Tae’s voice called out from the kitchen. “Dinner’s ready!”

Ria closed the suitcase and made her way to the dining area, where Tae had set up a simple but intimate meal: pasta with a rich tomato sauce, a side of salad, and a bottle of wine. He’d lit a few candles, their soft glow adding warmth to the evening.

They sat across from each other, the usual playfulness between them quieted by the weight of the moment. Tae reached for her hand across the table, his fingers lightly brushing hers. “You packed everything?” he asked, his voice low, his thumb drawing lazy circles on her palm.

Ria nodded. “Yeah. I slipped in a few surprises for you, though.”

Tae’s eyes softened, a small smile pulling at the corners of his mouth. “You always take care of me, don’t you?”

“Just making sure you don’t forget me while you’re gone,” she teased, though there was an undeniable vulnerability behind her words.

Tae leaned forward, his gaze locking with hers, the seriousness in his expression undeniable. “Ria, I couldn’t forget you if I tried. You’re with me no matter where I go.” His voice dropped, and his grip on her hand tightened just slightly. “Just... stay conscious of that, okay? No matter how far apart we are, you’re mine.”

The intensity in his words sent a shiver through Ria. She felt the same possessiveness and protectiveness bubbling up inside her, knowing that while Tae would be surrounded by people—fans, staff—none of them could ever hold the part of him that she did. “You’re mine too, Tae. Don’t forget who you belong to.”

Their eyes locked across the table, and the tension between them grew, the anticipation of being apart sharpening the edges of their emotions. They finished their meal in silence, but the air between them hummed with an unspoken need, both knowing how the night would end.
