Hi guys!  I am a student who likes to write in my free time. This is not the first story I have ever written but it is the first that I am making public. I wrote this about experiences that I have had with a boy in my school. So, hopefully he doesn't read it and remember it!!! By the way, I love to read and respond to comments so if you want to, leave comments!

Madeline Romano

14-year-old freshman in high school, is an introverted girl with curly, dark brown hair. She feels fragile in the overwhelming noise of social gatherings, often succumbing to her social anxiety and avoiding public outings. She prefers the comfort of her close-knit group of friends who appreciate her gentle spirit and quirky sense of humor. Madeline's innocence is evident; she has never tasted alcohol or experienced a first kiss, leaving her feeling like an outsider among her peers. An avid reader, she spends her free time curled up in her room with novels that transport her to distant lands. Academically driven, she excels in her studies, particularly in math and science, finding relief in the structure of homework and routine. Living with her supportive family, including her older brother, Madeline navigates the challenges of adolescence, slowly learning to adapt to the small challenges.

Nathan Summer

A tall, athletic freshman soccer player with tousled brown hair and eyes that sparkle with mischief. Outgoing and energetic, he lights up any room he enters, making friends easily and keeping spirits high with his infectious laugh. Despite his confidence on the field, he feels the weight of expectations from his divorced father. His father is a doctor in South Carolina who hopes Nate will follow in his footsteps to medical school, while Nate dreams of a professional soccer career. Torn between two worlds, he spends summers with his older brother Ryan, an engineering major, and lives with his mom in a different state during school. Soccer serves as his escape and passion, yet he grapples with balancing his own aspirations against family pressures. Nathan cherishes his close group of friends who share his love for the game and strives to maintain bonds with his dad and brother despite the distance.

I left the character's physical features up to your imagination so that you could create whatever you want! With that said, enjoy the story!

Btw, In the beginning of the story, I wrote it in third person but as I got further into the story, I changed it to first person because I liked it better. I may in the future want to change the first few chapters to first person but right now I am just focusing on finishing the story.
