Tom was sitting on the sofa in the living room, with a bottle of Smirnoff in his hand. He seemed a bit down, drowning his sorrows in alcohol, and as Edd waltzed into the room- he could immediately tell that something was wrong.

"Tom, are you doing alright?" Edd asked his friend, taking a seat next to him on the sofa.
Tom didn't say anything at first, having zoned out for a moment, then he perked up. "Hm.? Oh yeah, I'm fine. Totally fine. W-Why do you ask?"

"Well, your legs are shaking and you look exhausted.. Have you been okay lately.?" Edd asked, placing a comforting hand on Tom's shoulder.
"Yes, I'm fine. Stop bickering to me." Tom spoke sternly, taking a swig of his drink.

"I-I just want to help you." Edd said sadly, rubbing his arm with his hand. "Well I don't need your help okay!?" Tom shouted. Edd was stoked.. Tom has never been this angry before, especially at him.
Before he could say anything else, he grabbed Tom and placed him on his lap, scratching the back of his head in a comforting manner. "Shhh.. calm down my little star. You're getting ahead of yourself again."

That was what seemed to make Tom crumble, as he began crying into Edd's shoulder, holding onto his hoodie tightly and shaking like a leaf in the autumn breeze.

[ Time skip cause I'm a bit lazy ;__; ]

Time passed by and now Tom was sitting on the carpet with his pacifier in his mouth, playing with some soft blocks while a baby show was showing on the tv. Edd watched his little star play, eventually sliding off the sofa to sit next to him.

"Hello my little star, you like playing with your blocks?" Edd asked his regressed friend, getting a series of babbles and coos from him, knowing now that he was in a better mood than before. "Glad to see you're happy again kiddo.." Edd expressed, grabbing one of Tom's blocks and stacking it on another.

Eventually after Tom had slipped out of his regressed headspace, he was able to tell Edd what was bothering him so he could try and get some help. Edd did the best he could, but it was better than not trying at all- because at the end of the day, he was his little boy, and he needed him.
