Everyday at school was always just, the ordinary, well, at least in Brent's eyes. He would always get average grades with a few high scores here and there, and because of that, he never understood people who would always complain to their teachers who would get exasperated just because they got 99 out of 100. He would kill to get anywhere close to that imaginary number. Looking to his right, he sees Nick and Vern arguing like usual, whether it be about the game they played last night or about homework, mostly about group projects. Homeroom hasn't even started yet! sometimes, it makes him feel left out and yet, he oddly likes it this way. to him, it feels like watching a sitcom in real-time, a YouTube video you could say. So he rarely interrupts their arguing session. However, it surprisingly ended short as Nick asked Brent something with a shout
n: "BRENT, ehem, what do you think about this character design? Isn't it arguably way better than HER DESIGN?"
b: "you know i think her design is slightly better than his but you know I'm nothing like a god so I can't decide which is which just based on my opinion, right?"
v: "I know but this one is so important!! just think as like, the game developer of the game!!! like just imagine you're literally Jesus Christ in this situation!!! please?"
brent giggled.
b: "fine, I'll think about it..."
Brent uttered with his soft demeanor, as he lay out his head to his left where he would stared into the window filled with blooming trees, chirping birds, and students walking, giggling, yknow, normal school stuff. and to top it all off, the blue sky was still as bright as ever. Before class started, he would mindlessly stare at the window because of all the things he could see with just his naked eye. However, he noticed something different, to say the least.
He saw something unusual. a tall, lanky figure with soft and fluffy brunette hair, with the same uniform they were all wearing, just, washed out by a bit. It made a blood-curdling gaze at Brent, with a malcontent face. To say he was confused was an understatement. He felt like this student was someone he knew on the tip of his tongue. He felt like he had seen him before but, who was he?
Remember how I said the figure was distorted and dull or at least, was a bit washed out? Well, it was true, except for his eyes. Its eyes were the brightest yellow known to existence. It shined more brightly than the rays of sunlight that burn so brightly it can kill big insects. it's like if a white person flashes you with their bright blue eyes so bright it practically makes you blind for a consecutive 12 seconds. Before he even got to grasp the figure more, it suddenly vanished
b: "what the fuck was that???"
n & v: "what?"
