Engines Of The Purge

Day 7(Harvey's Pov).

It had been a week since the purge had started, but that only meant another week to go.

"Another week to go," Said Harvey mid way through the day.

'It's been a week, felt like a year,"said Diesel.

"I hope the others are alright,"

Before anyone could say anything else, they heard sounds coming from the area near the yard.

"What's that?" Diesel asked.

Before Harvey could reply, the people he heard came out from hiding. They were purgers, they had guns, knife's and other weapons. They ran into the yard and started shooting at the both of them.

"RUN!" Yelled Harvey as he shot forward.

"MY DRIVER ISN'T IN MY CAB!" Yelled Diesel.

Harvey raced out of the yard, hearing Diesel scream for help and running over a few purgers in the process. Harvey rushed down the line, he hadn't been built for speed, but reached Crovan's Gate in a nick of time.

"Harvey, you alright?" Asked the fireman as he got out.

"I'm alright, how's my face?"

"You have a bloody nose, a bullet hole in your left cheek. You also have a scar across you right eye, thankfully, you must have had it shut as you still have that eye," Said the driver.

"At Least i'm not dead, unlike Diesel, I wish we could save him,"

"If we tried to, we might have been killed,"

"Good point, but look at this place," Harvey said as he started to notice the dead bodies and bullet holes, some looking newer than others.

"Yes, I see. We'll go search the works shed for anyone," Said the crew as they walked toward the large shed, coming back a few moments later.

"The first and only thing of note in there was Rusty, the diesel is just gutted, barely anything left of him," Said the downcast crew.

None of them had anything to say, so they didn't say anything. They look around Crovan's Gate more and found some supplies, and they soon made a plan.

"This area might be too close to the purgers, so we are going to try and head somewhere on the other side of the island. We are taking a van of supplies and a coal truck,"said the driver.

"Alright," Said Harvey.

So he set for hopeful safety. Harvey was tempted to go down to Kirk Ronan and The Ironworks, but he didn't feel up to it. Harvey soon reached Wellsworth, went into the yard, and found Murdoch.

"Harvey, what happened to you?" Asked the 9F.

"Just today, Vicarstown was attacked and Diesel was killed," Said Harvey as face started to fall.

"I'm glad you're safe," The 9F said.

"Thanks, what happened to you after you left us?"

So Murdoch told Harvey his story, when he was done, Murdoch asked a question.

"Crovan's Gate seemed like a good place to stay," Pondered Murdoch.

"It was attacked before I got there. Rusty was even gutted,"

"My God, I haven't seen Henry pass by so he must have gone to The Ironworks, If Sir Handel and Bertram weren't their, I think their safe,'
