Chapter 1 - The Beginning

'Fate' is something I used to think is changeable until I knew what others fate are and still couldn't change. It all started 4 months ago.....

*4 months back*

I was in a party dancing with my boyfriend Alex. "Alex, I'm kind of feeling dizzy and wanna go home" I expressed it to Alex. I started dating Alex 1 year ago before we graduated from College. He was popular during college while I was just a mare one. I never liked Alex, he proposed to me and I agreed cuz I wanted to experience love, although I don't know what I feel about him now. "Already? We just came here like some minutes ago and you are already dizzy? Such a boring person. Anyways suit yourself, I'll be here for some hours" he started dancing after saying that. I just sighed and left the club. He was always like this so not very surprised.

I looked at the watch on my hand and was 10:56pm. There were no taxis in sight. "I guess I'll have to walk home tonight" I started walking towards my home. After some minutes I felt like someone was walking behind me, so I started moving faster and the more I walked fast the footsteps behind me also became fast. At last, with courage I took the knife that I always borrowed with me out and moved back to hit the person but before I could hit I realised that it's a grandma, she looked very strange and even the clothes she wore were strange. I pulled myself back from thoughts and  put the knife down. "I'm so sorry, I thought it's a man walking behind me who is gonna hurt me, I'm really sorry" I apologised to the old woman. "It's ok" she  said while smiling, her smile gave me chills. "If it's written in fate, it'll happen. No one can change it" I didn't say anything and just smiled and as I was going to walk, the old woman  stopped me and asked me a question.

"Do you think fate is changeable?" "What?" I looked at her while raising my eyebrows. "Do you think fate can be changed?" She asked again. "Uh... In my opinion it can be changeable if you know what's gonna happen or with your willpower" Maybe that day if I answered a different answer would today be different? "No, you are wrong. Fate can never be changeable" she said. I scoffed at her words and said, "Suit yourself" "So, you don't believe me?" She started laughing maniacally. Her laugh echoed in my ear. "Since you don't, from now on you'll be able to see the fate of people. If you can change once's fate it'll stop if not it'll haunt you till your last breath" As she uttered those words, I felt a chill running on my spines and started walking towards my home without saying anything to her.

I got back home and all I could think was about the lady back then. I took a deep breath and sighed. "I should get some sleep" I went to my bedroom, changed my clothes and fell asleep.

Next morning, as usual I woke up got ready for work, eat breakfast and leave home for work. I walked in the garrage, "hmm, today I don't feel like driving but walking" I said as I decided to walk to office.

5 minutes later, I was standing in the cross road wating for the light to turn green.

As the light turns green, a speed run bike hits a pregnant lady, the blood was all over the road. The scene made me horrified and shake in fear. Everyone started circling the lady but I was way too anxious to do anything. Suddenly, I hear an alarm clock ringing. The ringing was so loud, it started hurting my ears. Without thinking  I close my eyes and when I open it again, I see myself laying on my bed and hear the ringing of alarm clock. I get up from my bed. "So it was a dream?" The dream was a way too realistic to be a dream, ugh I shouldn't think about it more.

As usual I got up, eat breakfast, get ready and leave for work. Today, I'm gonna walk cuz of the sunny morning. So, I started walking towards my work place. 5 minutes later, I am standing in a cross road waiting for the light to turn green. I was looking at my phone before I heard a loud noise.

*CRASH*

I looked up and saw a bike hitting a pregnant lady. The lady's blood was all over the road, people started circling around her, while I am getting anxious. I'm getting deja vu. This is the same scene as in the dream...... Suddenly the old woman's words echoed in my mind....

"You'll be able to see the fate of people. If you can change once's fate it'll stop, if not it'll haunt you till your last breath"

That can't be.....
