69 : marry you

Anxious.

Jaeyun only could feel that right now. He looked up and met with two different gazes. One from Jongseong and one from Sunghoon. Both of them stared at him with so many questions because both of them cancelled their flight last minute.

None of them open their mouth and just wait for Jaeyun to speak but seem like he won't open his mouth. Sunghoon let out a long sigh and decided to break the silence.

"What do you want to talk about, Jake? You look so stressed today." he asked and Jaeyun smiled.

"Something happened to Hyejin, am I right? Just be honest with us Jaeyun. You look like you haven't found any way out." Jongseong added.

He was right. Jaeyun can't find any way out because he has never done it before. He planned to propose to Hyejin but he didn't have any idea so he asked Jongseong and Sunghoon to meet him.

Jaeyun hasn't told anyone about Hyejin because he wants to keep it secret. It's better that way.

"Both of you are right. I'm so stressed lately with so many projects and lack of time at home. I didn't realize how clueless I am... thinking she will be fine all this time. Hyejin... she..." the words stop there.

"What happened, Jaeyun?" Jongseong asked meanwhile Sunghoon was just chilling even though he was curious too.

"All this time, Hyejin is hiding all the pain alone. She is always smiling when she's with me just to make sure I'm not suspecting anything. Turned out many people were questioning about our baby-I know we are not marry yet but knowing what already happened to her and our baby, I feel useless. I'm a useless father." he explained.

Both Jongseong and Sunghoon were shocked by the truth. They looked at each other when Jaeyun started to sob because they never saw him like this. And Hyejin never tells him anything about Jaeyun crying or frowning. He managed to handle his emotion in front of her.

He's trying his best too. Jaeyun always stays positive and accepts anything that people say about their relationship. He has a plan. A perfect plan for his little family but he doesn't want to burden Hyejin with his plan. He wants to marry her.

Jaeyun is always serious about marriage but he is afraid the time ain't perfect. Now, he realized how late he is. He silently tortured her with acting nonchalant.

"You're not useless, Jaeyun. It's your first time too and we're pretty sure Hyejin is understood too. There is always a test in a relationship and maybe this is your test. What matters now is not what they were thinking about your baby, it's about accepting and moving forward." Jongseong patted his shoulder with a little smile.

"I agree, mistakes are destined to be learnt. Maybe with this mistake your relationship with Hyejin will become stronger than before. This will help you bond with her. My suggestion is to take a rest and spend more time with Hyejin. Don't worry I can handle the office for you." Sunghoon added.

"What..."

They both chuckled.

"Wipes those tears, Sim!"

"Stand up and go get the ring!"

Hyejin was focused on her reading when she heard Jaeyun's car engine outside. She put down the book and tried to stand up to see Jaeyun. The door opened by Jaeyun and she was flabbergasted.

"Jaeyun?"

"Love."

He went closer to her. Opening his arms as a sign for her to come into his embrace. Hyejin didn't ask anything about his actions but she knows he is hiding something. Hyejin looks up and their eyes meet.

She can't read his eyes. It is full of thoughts. Her hand laid on his cheek and caressed it softly. Jaeyun smiles at the warm sensation from her palm while his grips become strong around her waist.

"I love you, Hyejin."

"I know. And I love you more, Jaeyun." she giggled.

In the blink of an eye, their lips collide and bring them into their own world. Despite all his feelings, Jaeyun is trying his best to control his desire right now. He is afraid if he accidentally hurt her.

Meanwhile, Hyejin could feel everything inside their kiss. She knows if he has a problem or not. There's a pressure in the way he kissed her now but Jaeyun is trying to hold himself back.

"Jaeyun..." she pushed his shoulder. She was suffocated.

"I'm sorry, love. Let's go to our room. I want to talk about something important." he lifted her and went to their shared room.

Jaeyun put her down on the bed and Hyejin curiously stared at him. She patiently waits for him to talk when he intertwines their hands together. Jaeyun gave her a bright smile.

"I've been thinking, love. We both already face everything together and I will be honest, you are the most precious thing that happened in my life. Our beginning was horrible but we learned from our mistakes. And you know, I'm always wanting you for myself so I've decided to ask you..."

Jaeyun looked directly into her eyes, "Park Hyejin, will you marry me and be my one and only woman that I love until my last breath?"

Hyejin was flabbergasted. Her breath hitched. Eyes widened by the question.

"Jae.. Jaeyun... are you serious right now?" she asked with her teary eyes.

He nodded, "yes, love. I'm serious right now. I want to marry you. Spending all my life with you. Taking care of you. Loving you with all of my heart. So, what is your answer?"

Hyejin chuckled, she has been waiting for this moment and of course everyone knows the answer. She nodded with a big smile on her face.

"Answer me properly, love." he teased her.

"Yes, Sim Jaeyun! I want to marry you! I want to spend my life with you. I will take care of you just like how you are taking care of me. And I will always love you, baby!"

Then, he cupped her face and pulled her into another deep and passionate kiss. Hyejin ended up laying on the bed with Jaeyun on top of her. Jaeyun rubs her big belly and receives a response from their baby.

"I want to meet the baby, can I?" he whispered.

"Be gentle will you?"

"Of course, love."
