No one's P.O.V
Sam could feel himself starting to wake up, He groaned as he slowly started openening his eyes, the morning sunlight coming through the window only added to his throbbing headache. He shut his eyes closed again, trying to recall the events of the night before, but his mind was a blur. The last thing he remembered was... Colby's prank.
What was supposed to be a harmless joke for their YouTube channel, had become something more. The prank had felt too real, and the fear inside of Sam's eyes was genuine. Colby had always been the more adventurous one, pushing the boundaries of their pranks, but this time, something felt different.
Sam sat up, his head spinning. He looked around his messy bedroom, hoping to find some clues about what happened the night before. His curiosity quickly dying as he saw the empty bottel of whiskey laying on the floor. He had no recollection of drinking so much, but the evidence was right in front of him.
Just then, Colby walked into the room, his tall figure filling the doorway. His blue eyes, usually sparkling with energy and happiness, now held a hint of sadness and regret. He leaned against the door frame, observing Sam with a mix of concern and apprehension.
"Hey, buddy" Colby's voice was soft, almost apologetic. "How you feeling? I found you passed out in your bathroom last night. Looks like you had quite a night."
Sam rubbed his temples, trying to piece together the small pieces of his memorie that was starting to get back to him. "Yeah, I guess I did. But how did I end up like this? I mean, I remember the... prank, and then..." He trailed off, his anger rising as he realized the extent of his memory loss.
Colby sighed, running a hand through his black hair. "I don't know, i just found you and carried you to your bed, And i'm sorry, Sam. I didn't mean for it to go this far. I should've known better."
Sam's eyes narrowed, his blue gaze intense. "You should've known better? You're the one who pulled that stupid prank, Colby! I thought I was losing my best friend right in front of me" He took a pause, trying to figure out the right words. "I've been going through a lot lately, and you know that. I've been feeling depressed, and you just made it worse. You always take things too far."
The tension in the room thickened as the two friends locked eyes, both aware of the unspoken issues that had been building up between them. Colby's once vibrant and carefree demeanor had faded, replaced by a somber realization of his mistakes.
"I know I messed up, Sam," Colby admitted, his voice cracking slightly. "I just wanted us to have some fun, like the old days. I didn't mean to hurt you."
Sam's anger softened slightly as he saw the genuine remorse on Colby's face. He knew their friendship was special, but lately, it was different. "I know you probebly meant well, but sometimes your pranks go too far. I can't keep up with your wild ideas anymore. It's not like it used to be."
Colby nodded, his eyes downcast. "I get it. I've been selfish, thinking only about the thrill of it all. I forgot that pranks can have consequences. I forgot about you."
The atmosphere grew heavy with unspoken apologies and the weight of their shared past. They had been through so much together, yet their friendship now seemed fragile and uncertain.
