(A few days ago leading up to the first day of Senshado at Oorai.)

In midday, on the mainland city of Oorai, a tank range is smoking with a few hits on each target there. Next to the range is a garage. In the garage, a radio playing Sabaton plays in the background, as a group of boys all sit around on the tank they operate in their free time. An M4A3E8 Sherman tank with a roof mounted M2 Browning machine gun and tread style add-on armor. The boys were eating pizza (no olives, of course) and joking with each other. Their names were Joseph MacLeod, a kid all the way from Texas that wore a black duster coat and cowboy hat with his regular clothes. Dante and Vergil Redgrave, twin brothers that had snow white hair and dusters of their own, Dante's was red colored and Vergil's was blue colored. The last one was Edward Furness. He loved his Japanese engineer overcoat his father gifted him for his 13th birthday. The boys were all talking about their current lives.

Joseph: So what do y'all have planned for today?

Edward: Well, my father's thinking of taking me out on a passenger run on the C62.

Joseph: Hey, good for you Edward, hope you get your own engine soon.

Edward: Well, speaking of that, my father also said he might've found the perfect engine for me, and he'll be getting it in shortly.

Dante: Whatever it is, I hope you'll be happy driving it. Just like you're happy driving our tank here.

Edward: Thank you, Dante. Vergil, you've been awfully quiet. What's on your mind.

Vergil: Hm? Oh, nothing in particular. Just saw something peculiar.

Dante: What do you mean by peculiar, bro?

Vergil: Well, I saw on a newsletter that the Senshado Federation had an announcement that both young boys and girls would want to hear.

Joseph; Hang on, ain't Senshado, mainly a sport only for girls?

Vergil: Precisely, but it is what they said. Speaking of which, we may want to switch the radio to the news station. They're going to announce their news there.

Dante: Already on it.

Dante walks over and turns the radio to the news station. The others gather around while the topic reaches the Senshado Federation's announcement. They all stood quiet and listened.

(Senshado Federation President Shichiro Kodama)
Kodama: Due to decreasesing popularity in the Senshado sport, this idea has been in talks since the 60th tournament. And now, after much consideration, the Senshado Federation will now be allowing boys to participate in Senshado matches alongside our ladies. We understand that this is a radical idea, so we're only allowing one boy team to every school, just to test the waters, of course. They will follow the same general Senshado rules as the ladies and will be working with them in each match. We hope that this will give those who participate an understanding of working in a diverse work environment and an opportunity to achieve a common goal, regardless of different ideals and mindsets. Each boy team who wants to participate should hurry and sign up their team and tank online, and they should also choose which school they would like to be paired with.

As the message played, the boys all stared at the radio in shock, awe, and wonder. Then, Joseph broke the silence.

Joseph: Well, I'll be damned! I never thought that they'd actually do that anytime.

Dante: Well, well, an opportunity for greatness has just presented itself, huh?

Vergil: I agree. This does sound like the perfect time to put our skills to the test.

Edward: Well, given everyone's reaction, I'm guessing we should sign up immediately, right?

The others: Aye!

That night, the boys talked to their families about the news. Dante and Vergil's father was thrilled with it. He was proud his boys would get their skills tested in true sport combat, just as he taught them sword fencing. Edwards father was interested in the idea, as he too drove a few tanks to help teach students before retiring to be a train engineer. Joseph's extended family he was living with was a bit concerned for him, Joseph reassured them that they didn't need to worry, he had been feeling better after moving to Oorai, so he was fine. They were still worried but supported his decision nonetheless. Soon, the boys signed on to be put with a school and waited. 3 days later, a letter came in, and it said they were to be put with the Oorai girls academy school. The boys were surprised as Oorai hadn't done Senshado in a long time, but they were glad they even had a school to go to and fight alongside. Soon, they and their tank were loaded onto a cargo plane and flown to the school ship. They were dropped in as the girls for the Oorai Senshado team went to go look for tanks to strengthen their team. When they pulled up to the garage, they got out of the tank and introduced themselves to the student council.

Joseph: Howdy there! You must be the student council president.

Anzu: That I am. This is my vice president, Yuzu.

Yuzu: *bows* Hello.

Anzu: And my PR agent Momo.

Momo: Good day.

Joseph: Well, it's nice to meet y'all. *sticks out hand for a handshake* My name's Joseph MacLeod, I'm the commander of this here tank.

Anzu: *shakes Joseph's hand* A pleasure, and who are your crewmates?

Joseph: *gestures to the others* Well, over there is Dante and Vergil Redgrave, the twin brothers who work in the turret alongside me. Dante's the loader while Vergil's the gunner. And over there is our driver, Edward Furness. We currently don't have a raidoman, however.

Anzu: That's fine, we may have someone for that.

Joseph: Really, who might that be?

Anzu stepped out of the way, and Johan Nishizumi stepped up to meet Joseph.

Johan: Hello. I'm Johan Nishizumi, tour new radioman. *bows* It'll be a pleasure working with you, sir.

Joseph: Well, nice to be working with you too. Also, you can cut the formalities, just treat us as we are, friends, got it?

Johan: Oh, sure thing.

Joseph: Alrighty then, let me introduce you to the others.

As Joseph introduced Johan to the others, the other groups reported in with the tanks they found. Miho and her friends found a Panzer 38T, the volleyball team found a Type 89, the history club found a Stug III F, and the first-years found an M3 Lee.
