It was a quiet afternoon in the Advanced Nurturing High School (ANHS). The usual tension of competition hung thick in the air, but today something felt different. Ayanokoji Kiyotaka sat in his usual seat in Class 1-D, quietly observing his classmates as he always did. His neutral expression gave nothing away, as if he were simply a background character in the grander scheme of the school's power struggles. But today, for the first time, he was ready to step into the spotlight.

The school had long operated under the principle of meritocracy, where points and intellect decided one's worth. Yet, beneath the surface, it was a battlefield where manipulation, deceit, and psychological warfare reigned supreme. Class 1-D had always been seen as the weakest, the underdogs, but Ayanokoji knew better. It wasn't that the class lacked talent—it was that they lacked leadership. He had been carefully crafting the scenario, manipulating his classmates, teachers, and even the school administration from behind the scenes. However, today, Ayanokoji had decided to drop the facade.

"Attention, class," Chabashira-sensei announced, entering the room with an unusual urgency in her voice. "There's an important announcement from the school. Effective immediately, all points will be frozen for the next month, and all classes will have to rely on their current resources for survival."

A murmur spread through the room. The shock of having their lifeline—Class Points—cut off caused panic, especially for the students who depended on the school's luxurious offerings. Some students turned to Horikita, expecting her to take charge as usual. But Ayanokoji stood up before anyone else could speak.

"That's not going to be a problem," he said, his voice calm yet carrying a sharpness that made everyone turn toward him.

Horikita blinked in surprise. "What do you mean, Ayanokoji? You've never—"

"I've never taken charge, right?" he interrupted, walking slowly to the front of the classroom. His cold, calculating gaze swept across his classmates. "But that's because it wasn't necessary—until now."

The room went silent. Even Kushida, who usually wore her innocent smile, couldn't hide her confusion.

"What are you talking about?" Hirata asked, his voice laced with concern. "We've always worked together as a class to achieve our goals. We don't need—"

"Working together?" Ayanokoji scoffed, cutting him off. "That's the problem. You've all been trying to play by the rules, thinking that this school is fair. It's not. And now, without points, you'll see the truth."

Horikita narrowed her eyes. "So, what are you suggesting?"

"I'm not suggesting anything. I'm telling you what's going to happen." His voice was colder now, more authoritative. "From this point forward, I'll be leading this class. If you want to survive in this school, you'll follow my instructions without question."

The sudden shift in Ayanokoji's demeanor was like a knife cutting through the room's atmosphere. Gone was the quiet, unassuming boy who always blended into the background. In his place was someone else—someone terrifyingly composed, utterly confident, and unshakably ruthless.

Karuizawa Kei, who had been sitting quietly in the corner, raised her hand. "But... why now? Why are you suddenly deciding to take control?"

Ayanokoji gave her a look that made her shudder. "Because now it's no longer a game. I've stayed in the shadows long enough. I know how this school works better than anyone here. I've manipulated every event up until now to prepare for this moment. The freeze on points is just another move in the game, but this time, I'm making my presence known."

He stepped closer to the front of the room, his voice dropping slightly as if to ensure everyone was paying attention. "You've all been trying to win this war by playing nice. That stops today. We're going to crush the other classes, not through cooperation, but through domination. I don't care what methods we use, how many lies we tell, or how many people we destroy along the way."

Horikita stood, defiance flashing in her eyes. "And what makes you think you're qualified to lead us? Up until now, you've done nothing but stay in the background. How can we trust you?"

Ayanokoji's lips curled into a cold, humorless smile. "Because none of you have any idea how deep this goes. I've manipulated everything—the quizzes, the special exams, even Class 1-A's downfall last semester. Do you think it was luck that we avoided so many losses? Do you think the problems that arose for the other classes were accidents?" His voice grew sharper, almost mocking. "I've been ten steps ahead of everyone this whole time. And now, you're all going to follow my lead, whether you like it or not."

The room was deathly silent. The weight of his words was suffocating, as if the entire class suddenly realized they had been playing in a game whose rules they never truly understood.

Even Horikita couldn't find the words to respond.

"I don't care about your trust," Ayanokoji continued. "All I care about is winning. And I will win. If you stand in my way, you'll be crushed. If you follow me, I'll bring this class to the top. But know this—this isn't a democracy anymore. This is a dictatorship, and I'm in charge."

The air was thick with tension. No one moved. No one spoke.

After what felt like an eternity, Hirata broke the silence. "And if we don't follow you?"

Ayanokoji's smile disappeared. His expression became cold, calculating once more. "Then you'll be discarded, just like the rest of the trash in this school."

For a long moment, no one spoke. The class, once a collection of individuals with their own goals and desires, had been united under one thing—fear.

And in that silence, Ayanokoji's ruthless reign over Class 1-D had officially begun.

Outside the classroom, unseen by anyone, a faint smile played on the lips of Sakayanagi Arisu. "So, he's finally decided to play the game openly," she murmured to herself. "This is going to be interesting."
