First Glance
In the heart of a bustling college campus, Emily Parker spent most of her days hidden away in the art studio, surrounded by canvases and tubes of paint. A shy, quiet girl, she found her voice in the strokes of her brush. Her paintings often reflected her emotions—soft hues of blues and purples for her serenity, bursts of reds and oranges for her rare moments of passion. She loved the solitude, the peacefulness it brought her.
One afternoon, while she was focused on a particularly challenging piece, she noticed someone standing in the doorway. A boy, tall and handsome, with a camera slung around his neck, was watching her. His gaze was intense, yet curious, and for a moment, their eyes locked.
Emily felt her heart race, her cheeks flushing pink. She quickly looked away, pretending to focus on her painting, but her hands were shaking.
The boy smiled and, without saying a word, clicked a picture of her working.
"Beautiful," he muttered, just loud enough for her to hear before walking away, leaving Emily in a state of confusion
