Birds chirped as the sun rose above the horizon, the wind whistling through the willow tree as a young girl gathers her strength to start the day. Getting up she looked in the mirror to see her short black hair a mess and her icy blue eyes dark as if to tell her of an unwanted fate.
Leaving her room she combed her hair down with her fingers only to stop in the kitchen. She smelt the stench of the pack scouts. Going to the door as three hard knocks sounded she peeped through the peep hole. She was right three scouts were on her door step each with a look of disgust. Slowly turning she snuck back to her room and got changed quickly. Not caring what she wore she tossed on a grey hoody and some skinny jeans with holes in the knees.
Just as she heard the front door being forced open she jumped out the window. She ran knowing that her fate would be sealed if she stopped. As she ran she could hear the sound of her house being torn apart by the scouts. not turning back not even to look she ran as if fire was licking at her heels.
"Don't let her get away!" One of the scouts yelled as the girl forced herself to run faster. Her legs screamed in pain as more scouts began to run after her. Only then she made her mistake, turning she saw ten wolves chasing her. Stumbling she lost the ground she had tried to keep.
Turning back she screamed. "My parents were the traitors not me! I have followed your laws leave me alone!" Fear flooded through her as the scout nipped at her feet. Changing her direction she headed for the cliffs determined to lose the scouts some how or another.
Nearly to the cliff a deep voice sounded behind her. "Mira, come here right now!" Letting out a whimper she turned to see a tall. muscular man, who's skin was tan for the time he spent out in the sun. His dirty blonde hair whipped in the wind as his hazel eyes pleaded with her.
"Please Jace." she cried out to the Alphas son. "Please I did nothing wrong."
Slowly the boy moves forward as the wolves appeared and shifted into their human forms. "It's okay Mira, my father only wants to talk." He replies, but his eyes say something different they were to kill her.
Looking back and forth between the cliff and Jace, Mira starts to back up slowly. Jace darts forward to grab Mira as her foot slipped on the edge of the cliff. Both Mira and Jace got dragged over the edge, plummeting toward the river below. The whistling wind drowned out the shouts of the scout above, as the last thing Mira heard and saw was Jace.
