"Baby, I want you to be brave to face them, we agreed about this, you will meet my parents, right?" Sandro asked as he held me tighter, I was so nervous at natatakot ako dahil baka hindi ako magustuhan ng mga magulang nya.
"But Sands, what if hindi nila ako magustuhan? I'm scared, especially to your dad."
"Vinny and Simon will back you up, and of course me, you know Lorraine we cannot stay like this, my parents should know about this, don't worry, salo ka naming tatlo."
"Baby, I want you to be brave enough. We agreed about this, you will meet my parents, right?" Sandro asked as he held me tighter. I was so nervous, natatakot ako na baka hindi ako magustuhan ng mga magulang niya.
"But Sands, what if they don't like me? I'm scared, especially of your dad."
Sandro gently lifted my chin to make me look at him. "Vinny and Simon will defend you, and of course, I will too. Lorraine, we can't stay like this forever. My parents need to know about us. Don't worry, tatlo kaming sasalo sa'yo," Sandro reassured me, but I still couldn't help but feel anxious about meeting his parents. We were still inside the car, and I couldn't bring myself to get out.
"Baby, trust me, okay?" He rubbed my back gently, trying to calm me down. "My parents aren't as scary as you think. Simon might have acted all serious before, but he's on our side now. And Vinny, well, you know he already adores you."
I looked up at him, still worried. "Pero, Sands, what if they think I'm too young for you? And your dad... baka hindi niya magustuhan ang relasyon natin."
Sandro smiled, his eyes soft and full of reassurance. "You're strong, Lorraine, much stronger than you realize. Alam ko na mahirap, pero kailangan nating gawin 'to. They should see how important you are to me."
Simon suddenly appeared at the door of the car, knocking on the window. "Kuya, Lorraine, kanina pa kayo diyan. Are you two coming in or should I tell dad na 'wag na kayong hintayin?" He smirked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Simon," Sandro sighed, opening the car door, "give us a moment, will you?"
Simon shook his head with a slight smile. "Okay, okay. Just hurry up. Vinny's already making jokes inside to ease the tension. You know how he is."
I took a deep breath, squeezing Sandro's hand. "Alright, I'll try. Pero kapag nagpanic ako, bahala na kayo sa'kin ha."
"Promise," Sandro said, smiling as he leaned in to kiss my forehead. "Kapag nagpanic ka, tatakbo na lang tayo pareho pabalik sa kotse." He chuckled, making me smile a little.
Simon laughed as well. "Kung magpanic si Lorraine, kuya, baka ikaw pa ang unang tumakbo. Let's go, both of you. Dad's waiting, and Vinny might start telling our embarrassing childhood stories if we're late."
"Okay, let's do this."
With that, we finally stepped out of the car, hand in hand, ready to face whatever awaited us inside.
As we stepped into the house, my heart pounded in my chest. Sandro squeezed my hand, giving me a reassuring smile as we walked into the living room. Simon led the way, and I could hear Vinny's cheerful voice echoing through the hallway.
"Mom, Dad, here they are," Simon announced, gesturing towards us. Vinny immediately looked our way and gave me a big, welcoming grin.
"Finally! I've been waiting for you two. Lorraine, come here, sit with us." Vinny patted the seat beside him, trying to make me feel comfortable.
