Nico's P.O.V
I woke up with the worst headache of my life. I slowly sat up on the bed I was lying on. I looked myself over. I was wearing a sky blue t-shirt and tan cargo pants.
I looked around, trying to figure out where I was. I was in a dark room which was lit by candles and some lamps.
A boy with short black hair was leaning against the door frame, watching me closely. The boy had no emotion on his face, which had a long scar on the right side of his cheekbone, and the right side of his neck was black. He looked like he had been in a few wars. His jade green eyes showed nothing. He was wearing all black from the t-shirt and jacket to the cargo pants and combat boots. I couldn't figure out what he was thinking.
"Where am I?" I asked, my throat burned for not using my voice.
"You're in a room," the boy replied tonelessly.
"I know that," I said. The boy was starting to make me mad.
"Don't ask stupid questions then," the boy said.
I was starting to realize how badly I wanted to punch him right in the face.
"Go get some foundation to cover up your neck," I sassed him."Move your hair and give the world a void of that forehead," he sassed back. he did it with ease.
Just then, two redhead boys walked in.
One had fluffy red hair, who was wearing a black shirt with a green jacket and black jeans and boots and the other had blonde/red hair and glasses who was wearing a blue sweatshirt and jeans with Nike tennis shoes
"Apollo, will ya leave the kid alone," the fluffy redhead said in an Irish accent.
"Whatever you say, Callen,"
Apollo replied, then walked out."Sorry about him." The redhead with glasses told me. "I'm Cato," he said as he offered me his hand to shake.
"Names Nico," I said as I shook his hand.
"This is my brother Callen," Cato said as he pulled his hand away and then pointed to the other redhead, who nodded his head, saying hello.
"What's going on here? " I asked.
"This is a safe place outside the city." Cato replied
"What's a safe place?" I asked, feeling confused.
"You don't remember?" Callen asked me.
I nodded my head.
"I saw a Night-crawler chasing you, and the next thing we all knew, you jumped out a window. You hit the ground hard, and I guess it jacked with your head. We didn't know who you were, but I know if any kid has the willpower to jump out a window like what you did. Ya must be brave or just stupid, " a voice said from the door.
I look towards the door to see a boy with black hair and jade green eyes. He had a long scar on the left side of his cheekbone, and his neck was black on the left side. He was wearing all black from the sweatshirt to the black cargo pants and combat boots
"I'm Ares. Apollo's older brother."
"Names Nico," I replied.
Ares looked at Cato and Callen.
"Take the kid around and show him how everything works," Ares ordered, then walked out of the room.
"He's just like his emo brother," I said, and the other two boys laughed.
A couple of hours later
"Thanks for showing me around," I say to Callen & Cato. "No problem," Cato said.
We walked into a big room where the walls and ground were overgrown with.
I looked around, seeing a few poorly built wooden tables
A crowd of boys were around the center table cheering
"What's going on over there?" I asked Callen, who was walking beside me on my left side, and Cato was on my right.
"Sounds like Leo and Jesse are at it again." Callen replied.
"What are they doing?" I asked
"The boys like to arm wrestle," Cato said as he pushed his glasses back up on his face as they walked over to the group of boys.
"Yo, Callen," a boy said as he walked over to us. He had short hair, which was platinum blonde with brown roots, jade green eyes, freckles, and small black earrings. He was wearing a black sleeveless shirt along with a black denim sleeveless jacket and black ripped jeans along with combat boots
"Hey Theo," Callen said
"Who's the Asian?" Theo asked
"This is Nico," Cato said, pointing to me.
Theo held out his hand for me to shake. I shook his hand. Theo had a really tight grip, which surprised me."Nice to meet you, Nico," Theo said with a small smile.
"Nice to meet you as well," I replied.
"You come to watch the show?" Theo asked
"The show?" I asked
"The arm wrestles. Jesse has never lost a fight. "
We all stood around the table. Two boys sat across from each other. One boy had blonde/brown hair, and the other had long shoulder-length honey blonde hair.
"You're going down, Leo." the long-haired boy said in a southern accent. He had honey blonde hair blue eyes and was wearing a black T-shirt with a red button-up shirt as a jacket and black ripped jeans and boots
"Get ready to eat dirt, Jesse," Leo said he had a heavy Australian accent. He had wavy blonde/brown hair and tan skin tone. He also had scars on the left side of his face, one on his lower neck and one on his cheekbone. With a tattoo on his lower left arm but his most distinctive feature was his right eye was blue while his left eye was green.
The boys started their arm wrestle their wrists, going back and forth. Till Jesse slammed Leo's hand down on the table, which fell apart. The boys started laughing.
"Great job, Jess." A boy laughed. he had wavy silver hair with black roots and blue eyes with a few scars on his face. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with a sleeveless denim jacket over it and ripped jeans
"Shut it, Killian," Jesse said.
Just then, I heard loud alarms going off and red lights flashing. It hurt my eyes and ears. I looked around at the boys who had worried looks on their faces.
"We have guests! Leo yelled.
"What kind?" I asked, worried.
"Not the nice kind," Jesse said.
