"What are you doing here?"

"I don't know. I was just running,—"

The other person quickly responded. "From what?"

"I guess I felt like I was almost sort of in danger. I don't remember much, I feel sort of tired actually."

The other one seemed confused. "We're not too far away from there, actually." They sighed. "I don't even know how you got out— it's better that I'm the first one to even notice you."

That was a bit of a surprise. "Oh. Well, what's been going on though?"

"I'm not even sure. Nothing's been going right at all. Should be glad you weren't there for it." It was silent for a while until the same person continued. "It's pretty dark actually. I think we can find some place to stay in."

They walked around through the dark ground. There was a small building, and it took a while to find the entrance, probably abandoned shop.

Leafy was strolling around Yoyleland. It wasn't too windy, like how it seemed to be often times. This was where she normally was – she was just used to being around there at this point.

She wasn't hungry, well, she'd already gotten tired of eating Yoyleberries. It's not like Leafy needed them, but they tasted nice to her. It was a nice day anyways; she wasn't hungry much.

The leaf looked out; she'd found a blueberry bush. Unusual for one to grow here, she thought. Pin once talked about Grotatoes that Fries was planting that could grow in Yoyleland. Maybe there were more kinds of those.

But who would've planted them?

She leaned to pick one out one of the blueberries and it fell into her hand. Leafy didn't think much of it and put it in her mouth quickly. It tasted pretty good, actually. She wanted to grab a few more, but didn't.

It probably wasn't that long of a walk, it was sunny out, wasn't it? Goodness, it wasn't normal for spring to be this hot out.

And warm.

It'd been a bit too long and now it felt a waste, so Leafy went around to walk back in around the same route; back to her shed. Life to her was usually boring, but it was nice, having it seeming all to herself.

At some point she'll go back to everyone else. She knew it.

So, that made it time to move along. Leafy walked past the blueberry bushes again, the trees and what everything looked like in her memory. It was normally quiet out, sometimes you'd get some people around.

As she wandered around she noticed, by a tree, that someone was there, waving at Leafy! Wasn't far out, who was it?

Red...

Pin.

How long had it been since Leafy talked to her? Why not try and have a quick catch-up?

"Hey," Pin waved to her.

"Oh, hi Pin!"

"How's it going?"

"It's good, I mean, I didn't expect to see you here!"

"Yeah— I decided to do more gardening!"

"Where now? It couldn't be out here in Yoyleland, right?"

"Actually, it is! It's a bit hard to explain." Pin paused for a bit. "This wasn't really the best timing, I'm kind of in a rush to go somewhere, sorry. Nice seeing ya then."

"Well, you too." Leafy didn't really want to end her talk, but she hadn't wanted to start it either.

"Bye!" And Pin was back to wherever she came from.

Leafy watched her walk away. Pin probably couldn't hear her say "See ya!" at that point after that.

It reminded her of competing. Not really the best. She couldn't make much friends. What about Bubble?

So much to think of.

But why think of anything at all?

The walk back was and wasn't expected and yet it didn't feel completely normal for some reason, if there was a normal.

Lying out in her shed, Leafy fiddled with her fingers. She was wide awake and there was still the rest of the day to get to. It was, around 20 minutes out? Life was alright. Eh, sort of.

Not many people lingered in the roads of Yoyle City, however some buildings seemed active enough. It was raining hard with no signs of stopping soon, making the skies dark. It was afternoon, soon to be evening by then.

Bad conditions enough, there was a blue-and-green book walking around the sidewalk, somewhere in Yoyle City.

She didn't find it too nice to be out, but she had a map in her— Book knew her way around. Should've brought a coat, she thought to herself.

It's spring. There's going to be rain often.

Book's eyes stayed close to the ground, bored, it seemed to her mind that it was just plain. Her gait was long, but slow. Noticing something on the path, she stopped walking. On the stone was a small white piece of paper, drops of rain falling on it. It's not like it could be that important to anyone.

It just had to be picked up.

Book held it in her hands, trying to read what was on it. Handwritten was "L.S." in big letters. The edges seemed ripped off. A bit and certainly wet. She was a book, but this wasn't something she would have. Right? It sort of had a weird feeling to Book.

Thunder struck and Book stamped her foot on the sidewalk.

Book had tore out the waterlogged sheet partly from annoyance and then, looking at it more, was another side with smaller, but seemingly more detailed writing. She flipped the two bits. Then the book had decided to think less about the paper; it wasn't even important! She'd read it later, there was a train for her to catch.

Placing the ripped sheets somewhere in her pages, Book continued moving, with a faster stride now. The bitter rain stayed strong as well. "Why'd I even sign up for that thing..." she muttered to herself, not for anyone, if there even was someone, to hear.
