In the quiet hush of the library's glow, A college girl sat with a mind to know, Pages flipped with a curious stare, Reading of worlds beyond compare.

She pondered the thought, strange yet profound, Of parallel realms where time spun round, Her fingers traced the lines of fate, And then she felt her heart vibrate.

A whisper of wind, a shift in space, The library vanished without a trace. Her world went black, her pulse held fast, To a future-bound land she was cast.

Eyes blinked open to neon skies, Where shadows danced and metal cries, A city broken, its soul decayed, Where light was dim, and hope delayed.

In the distance, a tower rose high, A witch's palace against the sky. With a twisted grin, her gaze set low, Ruling over all in a world of woe.

Corruption seeped in every street, People bowed beneath her feet. Technology thrived, but hearts were cold, A doomed world, futures sold.

The girl, now trapped in this cursed place, Sought a way out, a path to trace. But the witch had seen her, drawn her near, And whispered promises laced with fear.

"Stay in my world, leave yours behind, You'll rule beside me, powers aligned." But the girl, with heart and knowledge bold, Refused to let her spirit be sold.

Through mazes of glass and crumbling stone, She searched for a way to find her own. For though this world was dark and grim, She held within a light so dim. And as the witch reached out in spite, The girl found strength, a spark of light. With one last breath, she tore apart, The veil between both worlds of heart.
