Finally an update lol. I know it's been forever and a day since I last updated. I've been hella busy not to mention schools back in so,I'm probably gonna be updating slower. I'm sorry in advance. And just letting you know, this is gonna flip flop between povs so don't get confused.

Nikki and I have been secretly seeing each other for about two months now. Duff still hasn't found out but he's acting really weird here lately.

"Mom?"

Alixx asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Yes honey?"

"I'm going on a date tonight with a boy from school." she said.

"Sweetheart that's great! What's his name?" I asked, turning to look at her.

"Vic Fuentes." she said, smiling.

"Tell me about him." I said.

Alixx started to smile as she sat down beside me.

"He's tall, brown hair, brown eyed, he's sweet, and funny. I get little butterflies when I think about him." she explained, lost in thought.

"Plus he's in a band." She continued, with a big bright smile.

"He sounds wonderful." I say.

"He is." she assured.

"But sweetie, you have to be careful. I don't want you to get hurt. Some musicians aren't like your dad and stepdad. As soon as they get signed they'll leave you behind." I cautioned.

"I know mom. But I think he's different, I just know it." she said, excitedly.

"Ok Lixx. I love you." I said, as I hug her.

"I love you too, mommy." She said, as she hugged me back.

"I'm home!" Duff's voice vibrated off the walls.

He's been at the studio all week. He pretty much lives there.

"Hey baby." I say, as he comes over and kisses me.

"Hey Duff." Alixx said, happily.

"Someone's in an unreasonablely good mood." he joked, as he hugged her.

"She's going on a date tonight." I fill him on the news.

"Really?" he asked, surprised.

"Yep." Alixx said, smiling.

"Alixx that's great!" Duff said, happily.

"I know. Now please excuse me, I have to find something to wear." she said, as she made her way up to her room.

I let out a sigh.

"You alright baby?" Duff asked, concern written on his face.

"She's growing up." I say, sadly

"All my babies are."

He sat beside me and pulled me into his arms,

"Sweetie, no matter how old they get or how many dates they go on you'll always be their mother."

"I know. I just can't believe Alixx is going on her first date." I said, in the crook of his neck.

He kissed my hair and cuddled me into him.

My eyes drifted to the coffee table beside us where a collage of the kids' baby pictures were.

They're my life and soul, I don't know what I'd do without them. I got lost in thought, remembering holding my babies for the first time. It was absolutely, the most wonderful thing that ever could've happened to me.
