I woke up in a hospital with a tube down my throat. Immediately I start gagging and a nurse and doctor rush in to remove the tube. Confusion stained my face, I had no clue how I got to the hospital. The nurse and doctor leave, saying they'll go get my actual doctor.

My phone laid on the stand next to me. I weakly try to pick it up and unlock the broken screen. I drop in on the floor. My doctor knocks and steps into my room.

"Hi there Cali, do you know where you are?" He asked.

"It looks like a hospital." I use all of my breath to say.

"Do you know what day it is?"

"Uhh, Tuesday?"

"It's actually still Monday. Do you know why you're here?"

"The last thing I remember is falling asleep on my couch after being sent home from work early for collapsing."

"You're coworkers walked into the conference room this morning to find you barely responsive. They said you would twitch but they couldn't get you to speak or open your eyes. They called an ambulance and you were taken here immediately and had to undergo emergency surgery. Do you know how you hurt your head?"

I try to reach up to touch my head, but all of my energy vanished once he asked. "I'm not sure."

"How about your side here?" He asks, lifting my gown to show the giant bruise I got from the accident. "You seemed to have sustained a good bit of trauma. What happened?"

The car accident flashed across my memories. "I was walking and a car came up behind me on Friday and hit me. I'm fine, tho. It wasn't that bad. Andy was hurt worse."

"Who is Andy?"

"Hand me my phone and I'll show you."

The doctor picks up my phone from the floor and goes to hand it to me, but I can't move. When he sees this, he just sits it on the stand next to me. "Is there anyone we should call?"

"You can call my fiance. What time is it?"

"It's about 7 PM. Is Andy your fiance?"

"No, Kevin is my fiance. Andy's the singer in the band Black Veil Brides."

"You know what, I've heard of Black Veil Brides and of that accident. It was in Independence, wasn't it?"

I nod my head.

"My brother was one of the cops that responded to it. His daughter is a big fan of them. You know Andy? Do you think you can get her his autograph?"

"This is why I didn't want anyone knowing it was me. We met that morning. I tried to visit him at the hospital but he didn't remember me because of the trauma so I said I was in the wrong room. So no, I can't. Sorry."

"That's okay. So, Kevin? What's his number?"

I give the doctor his number and he goes off to call him. He tells me I should rest and I end up drifting into a decent sleep. When I woke up next, both my boss and my fiance were there. It was the next morning.

Kevin had stayed next to me all night. As soon as the doctor called him, he rushed to the hospital. Devon just so happen to be stopping in to drop off a get well soon card everyone at work signed, and to see how I was doing.

As soon as Devon saw I was waking up, he said he's glad I'm okay and left to let me have time to talk to Kevin alone. Because of everything that happened, I had to tell him everything that happened the night and day of the concert. I try to convince Kevin I'm fine and that he shouldn't miss any more work, but he didn't want to listen. He finally agreed when I tell him the cats would be worried if neither one of us was there right now, since we didn't tell them we would be gone.
