lowkey forgot the plot halfway through lmk if you can tell or nah 😝
AS Jake fumbled with the keys, laughter echoed in the hallway, the sound of their night out still buzzing in their minds. Naomi leaned against the wall, her cheeks flushed, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
"Maybe we should take it easy," she teased, her voice low and sultry.
"Where's the fun in that?" Jake replied, stepping inside. The door clicked shut behind them, sealing off the world outside.
In the dim light of the apartment, the air crackled with unspoken tension. Their eyes locked, and an intoxicating blend of alcohol and desire surged between them.
Jake leaned against the wall, his gaze lingering on Naomi as she swayed slightly, bending over to take off her heels, a smile tugging at her lips.
"You were definitely the life of the party tonight," He teased, stepping the slightest bit closer.
"Only because someone kept refilling my drink," She shot back, her eyes sparkling with mischief as they squinted at him. "I could have danced all night."
The Aussie chuckled, their faces now inches apart. "Maybe we should keep the party going, just us."
A hand now resting on her hip, pulling her body closer just the slightest bit, though it did everything to the aura of the situation.
Naomi's breath hitched, all the air getting caught in her throat, but she still played it cool. "And what exactly do you have in mind?"
Jake stepped back slightly, feigning innocence.
"Just some good music and maybe a little... dancing?"
"Dancing? With this?" She gestured to her tipsy state, knowing that she'd have the worst case of two left feet right now, biting her lip. "I might be too clumsy."
"Clumsy can be fun," he said, taking her hand and pulling her closer. "Let's find out."
They separated for the most part, hands still gently interlocked, as they walked through the small apartment entering the living room.
Naomi slips off her, practically pointless, jacket, leaving her in the deep red dress she had worn out.
Going out tonight had also been a completely spontaneous affair for the two of them, having not planned anything for the night, but the curly-haired girl is starting to learn that spontaneous is pretty much a third person in a relationship with Sim Jake.
Jake reached for his phone, selecting a soft, melodic tune that filled the room with warmth. He took Naomi's hand, pulling her gently closer.
"Come here, let's dance," he said, his voice low and inviting, almost as if luring her towards him.
Naomi smiled, wrapping her arms around his torso as they swayed. "I love this song," she murmured, leaning her head against his chest.
The dim orange lighting, due to the only source being a single lamp, only added to the mood, making the moment much more intense and enticing than any other time would be.
