LMK IF YALL CAN SEE THIS ONE!

Sloane was lounging on her bed, scrolling through her phone when Haven, came in the room in a usually good mood which meant
she wanted something.

"Hey," Haven said, plopping down next to her on the bed. "So, there's this party tonight, and I really think you should come with me."

Sloane raised an eyebrow, her attention still half on her phone. "A party? I don't feel like doing anything."

Haven pouted dramatically. "Oh, come on! You can't stay cooped up here forever. You need to get out and have some fun. Please? It hurts me seeing you so sad."

Sloane sighed, putting her phone down. "Im not even that sad, I just don't feel like it. No one I want to see is gonna be there anyway."

What Sloane didn't know was that Paige, her ex, would be at the party. Haven had been plotting with Nika and KK since the day before, and they had a plan to get the two of them into the same room. Nika and KK told Haven that Paige hadn't stopped moping and being upset about Sloane since their argument, and Haven was determined to help them work things out, knowing Sloane had been the exact same.

"I promise, you'll have a good time," Haven continued, nudging Sloane with her elbow. "Plus, I already have an outfit in mind for you."

Sloane looked at her suspiciously. "You've planned an outfit for me? You were that confident I'd say yes?"

Haven grinned. "I was just waiting for your answer. And I'm happy I finally got it."

Sloane shook her head, chuckling softly.

Later that night, Sloane stood in front of the mirror, staring at the outfit Haven had picked out for her. A thin white tube top, a white mini skirt that left little to the imagination, and high white boots. She felt a little exposed, to say the least.

Sloane said, looking into the mirror biting her lip as she turned to her friend.

Haven was already dressed, looking flawless in a sleek black dress. "You look sexy as fuck!"

Sloane hesitated, fidgeting with the hem of the skirt. "It's just... a lot."

"That's the point," Haven said, walking over and adjusting the tube top so it sat perfectly. "You're going to be the hottest girl there. Everyone's going to be jealous."

By the time they called the Uber and were on their way to the party, Sloane had started to relax a bit. She trusted Haven, even if her plans were made with no thought.

Well except this one.

The first half of the night passed in a blur of music, laughter, and a few drinks. Haven stayed by Sloane's side, making sure she was comfortable and enjoying herself and didn't see Paige, Nika or KK as Nika and KK did the same. They danced, talked with a few people, and overall, it was a decent time. But what Sloane didn't realize was that Haven was buttering her up for what was about to happen.

Eventually, Haven guided Sloane toward the back of the house, where there was a quieter area. "Hey, let's take a breather. There's a room back here we can sit in for a minute."

Sloane followed without thinking much of it, only slightly tipsy from the few drinks she'd had. They reached the room, and as they stepped inside, Sloane froze.

Paige was sitting on the couch, looking as surprised as Sloane felt. KK was standing by the door, giving them both a wide grin.

"What the fuck" Sloane muttered, her heart racing. She shot a look at Haven, who was now standing beside KK.

"Well, I'll leave you two to it," KK said cheerfully, stepping out and closing the door behind her. A loud click followed as KK locked it, shouting through the door, "I'm setting the timer for thirty minutes!"

Sloane's jaw dropped. "Haven! You locked me in here?"

Haven's muffled voice came from the other side of the door. "It had to be done, Baby! You'll thank me later!"

Sloane turned to Paige, who had stood up by now. An awkward silence fell over them as they stared at each other, both unsure of where to start. Finally, Paige broke the silence.

"Do you... want to sit down?" Paige asked softly, gesturing to the couch.

Sloane nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat. She sat down next to Paige, leaving a bit of space between them.

"So, this is awkward," Sloane said, trying to break the tension with a small smile.

Paige laughed nervously. "Yeah, a little."

They sat there for a few moments, the silence stretching between them, before Paige sighed and leaned back.

Sloane's heart was pounding in her chest.

"I just want to start by saying I'm sorry," Paige said, her voice soft but sincere. "I was wrong for the things I said. I shouldn't have ignored you and I should've just talked to you about everything. I didn't handle things right and I'm sorry."

Sloane looked down at her hands, feeling a familiar ache in her chest. "I shouldn't have blown up at you either. I said some things that I didn't mean. I was just hurt and angry."

Paige reached out, gently placing her hand on Sloane's. "I was scared, Scared that I was going to lose you, and I didn't know how to deal with that. I let my insecurities get the better of me, and I'm sorry."

Sloane looked up at her, tears starting to well in her eyes. "I just don't understand why you didn't think we could work out."

"I was scared that I'd have to let you go, and I didn't want that. I didn't realize how stupid I was too push you until it was too late."

Sloane wiped her eyes, sniffling a little. "you could never lose me, I still love you."

Paige's voice broke as she spoke. "I love you too. I could never stop."

They sat there for a moment, both of them wiping their tears. Paige reached out and gently wiped the tears from Sloane's cheeks, her touch tender. "I'm so sorry for doubting us. I'd do anything for you, even long distance if that's what it takes."

Sloane nodded, her voice shaky. "You know I will too, but I think we need a small break first. Just some time to work on ourselves before we go back in."

Paige nodded in agreement, though her heart ached at the thought. "If that's what you want, I understand."

After what felt like an eternity, they both stood up and walked to the door, realizing it was already unlocked. They had been in there for over an hour.

Downstairs, they found their friends sitting together, laughing and partying. Haven grinned when she saw Sloane, clearly proud of herself. Sloane shot her a look but couldn't help but smile and roll her eyes.

Later, as they rode home in the Uber, Sloane turned to Haven. "I can't believe you locked me in a room."

Haven laughed. "It had to be done."

Sloane rolled her eyes but smiled. "I guess you're right. I'm grateful."

For the first time in a long time, Sloane felt content. As she fell asleep that night, she knew things were going to be okay.
