Chapter 1 stranded (noah)

It was the 14 of march I was on a ferry, 37 days in, from the england towards Australia, I was sitting in the bar having a mock tale (I'm 14 days clean) then I got knocked out, I don't know what hit me but I woke up and I saw an elderly lady on the floor in the bar, I ran up to her asking. Are you ok?I said said in a panic. She reply's "yeah I'm fine thanks sweetheart" she looks scared and she asked " have you seen my husband? He was just with me but I fell down and I looked up and he was gone" I said no but I will keep an eye out.

I ran outside in the big hole behind the bar caused by the crash, I get out side and look around to see what just happened. The ship crashed into shore causing the ship to break in half and covering the ship and shore in body's of the people on aboard but for the "fortunate" they was either injured and or trapped under the rubble. I saw a girl in the river being taken by the current into the ocean so I ran and jumped into the river trying to get her but she was unconscious, I brought her back to shore I attempted CPR then she coughed up the water and she grabbed my arms trying to say something but the words wouldn't come out. I called out this woman she was looking at the ship burning to come over and keep an an eye on the little girl "sure yeah no problem" she said slowly.

I ran to this pregnant woman I pulled her to one of the trees and I said don't move I will back soon she nodded at me. soon after I saw this man in the mud he had a big piece of metal lodge just below his right shoulder, he wouldn't talk or make a sound he just looked at me while just making out the words "help me" but his injury was too severe, we was going to have to wait for rescue. I couldn't move him but fortunately he was far enough to not be caught in the crossfire if anything happens, he wouldn't even look at me he just looked up, I told this man to watch him he was bald and a big scare on his cheek and he replied saying "brother I have nowhere to be", on top of the ferry there was a woman with a newborn in her hands with fire around her, I jumped on the ship and took the baby I told her to clime down I I'll take your baby, she came down and I handed her the baby.

It was now dusk everyone was around a still burning part of the ship, the smell was awful but it was better that nothing,
I asked everyone while we was just staring into the fire if they had a phone but they didn't reply and the ones that did said it broke on impact, some other people had there own fires with the few lighters left, I asked everyone if they was ok but I got no reply from anyone but this man came up to everyone saying something in which sounded like German, he was pointing at another fire with a woman laying with clothes as a pillow, we walked up to her and she had a cut on her waist, the man was pointing at her cut and I said I'm a doctor I can help her, I asked everyone I'd they sewing items on them like sewing needles and thread she needs stitches then an elderly lady replied saying that she packed some sewing items in her suitcase so I asked her what it look like and where it was?.

The lady said the suitcase was pink and had flowers on front, it was in her room 105 so I ran into the still burning ship trying to look for room 105, after some time later I found room 105 but a large piece of metal was blocking the door, I tried to move the metal but it was too heavy so i tried o look for another entrance, besides room 105 was room 106 so I went in there to see if there was another entrance and so there one was, a big hole in the wall into 105 cause by a fire, I found the suitcase and a bottle of vodka along with it.

I made my way outside and I put a small piece of a pipe I found in her mouth and I told her to bite down on it, I think she understood stood what she had to do then I told the bald man to hold her down while I poured the vodka on the wound and the needle, she was moving a lot and it was hard to keep her down but I had to put the needle in her for stitches so I told the man to hold her even tighter then I put the needle just below her waist then continue to sew her. She spat the pipe out hitting the bald man on the head and she screamed loudly, I was soon done and I let her go she was laying on the clothes crying I went up to the elderly lady and thanked her.

It was a few hours till dawn and everyone was sitting around the dying fire but people was now talking while I was in the ship looking for maybe survivors but it wasn't just me, this man came in with me to help his name was Charlie so me and Charlie started our started our hunt in the accommodation area to see if there was any left people in the crash.

Charlie started from room 150 (the highest room number) and I started form room 001 and we was going to meet up in the middle that was until I heard a scream that sounded like a girl, I ran towards the screaming but it was just him screaming and pointing at a body that was really burnt, so I took him out and he said that it would be better to go in at light so we can see but I think he was just scared.

With the few hours left till light I checked up on everyone one, first I checked on the little girl I got out of the current earlier, she said she was doing ok but she was on her own I wanted to ask her questions but I didn't want to upset her.

Then I went up to the elderly lady I asked if she had any luck finding her husband but no luck, I wanted to promise her that we would find him but I didn't know if we would find him alive so I gave her a hug and left. Then I saw the pregnant woman asleep next to the bald man,
"is she ok" I asked him
                                                                                        "Yeah she is fine brother"
"thanks for looking after her, I didn't get your name"
                                                           " it's Darren you?"
"Noah".

The lady with the newborn was talking to another man, they seem fine and no need to bother them.then I went to the man with the metal below his shoulder, I knew if help didn't arrive soon he wouldn't make it to see the next sunrise. He was unconscious for the moment, when he wakes up he will feel everything, don't know what to do with him to say the least but we needed to call for help soon.

It's dawn and we made it to see another day, I stood up on a chair from the ship and I asked for everyone attention.
"hello everyone, I know your all scared but it could be a long time till rescue, we was told that the journey would take around 45 days and we are only 38 days in
So we need to make huts with the resources on the coast and ship, I want to take 3 people to go around this place to see if people are here, any volunteers?" Well over 10 people raised their hands so I picked Charlie the girl that stayed with the 15y girl and the Russian.

We walked about a mile of coast and we found a large beach trying to find any sign of other people but nothing, I said that would make sense to set up camp and Mabye a big fire for a sos. Charlie agreed and the woman but the Russian claimed that this could be a island home to many wild animals or unwelcome people, we thought it was nonsense and brush it off but little did we know that this was intended a island home to something worse.

We spent half hour going up the hot sand just to turn back and tell the other about the beach,I asked whether there names where witch I know it was stupid of me to only ask now but I didn't care at the time, the woman name was Chloe and the Russian man was named Akim "Akim? That's an unusual name" I'm Russian my name isn't weird but NOAH is" Chloe chuckles a little bit, it made me happy that she smiled, Mabye I like her? No I don't I need to get back to camp, I led the group back and said "when we get back I think we should move everybody to the beach because it is a more clear spot and if a ship passes we can see" the group agreed but Akim was still a but uneasy but agreed in the end?
