Don't be mad at me! Please? I'm just figuring how how to do this correctly. -Megan

Alice's POV»

"And I'm Harry," he said with the biggest smile plastered across his face. He did have a nice smile. The kind you wouldn't mind seeing every day, all day.

"Yeah, I know who you are," I show him the screen saver on my iPod. It says keep calm and love One Direction with the British flag in the background.

"Oh, um, that's great I guess. You just didn't say anything so, I just thought that maybe you didn't know..." he seems kinda nervous now. Harry takes a seat in the swing next to me again.

"Harry, you know it's St. Patrick's Day, right?" I question him.

"Yeah, of course, Niall has only been counting down the days for two months," he says calmly.

"Then why the hell aren't you wearing any green?" I say quickly then I reach over and pinch his arm. Not to hard though so he knows I'm playing. He looks down and checks his clothing, the he checks everything I'm wearing. Of course I'm wearing plenty of green, I don't know what he's looking for.

"Do you know what they do on St. Patrick's Day when you wear red?" he grabs the chain on one side on my swing and uses it to whip me over closer to him so that we are face to face. I can smell mint on his breath. Then he pulls me even closer until our lips meet. Harry holds my swing there for what seems like forever and our lips don't separate for even a second. His kiss is hot and dominate but sweet and full of feeling, and just really caring. That's when he finally pulls away, but he still holds my swing close.

"I...I'm so sorry, I didn't have the right to do that. I shouldn't have done that. I'm so sorry Alice, forgive me?" he seems to be falling over his words, but I notice he still hasn't let me go. That's when I realize how good the kiss actually felt. How good it felt to feel like someone actually cared for a second, and so I lean forward and just peck my lips to his.

"Don't be sorry,"I whisper into his ear. "I think I needed that." I stand up and grab my belonging: my sneakers (which I had taken off to swing), my iPod, my phone, my newest book, and then I stuff them into my bag which had also been laying on the ground. And then I simply turn and start walking away.

Harry's POV»

"Umm... Alice, where are you going?" I'm still sitting in my swing, confused. How could she do that then stand up and leave? And leave with no goodbye at that. Not a single word. "Alice! Where are you going?! Please don't just leave me!" Great now I probably sound needy.

I run to catch up with her and I turn her around to face me. "Alice, please tell me where you plan on going. It looks like it's about to rain, I can't just let you walk." She doesn't do anything for a second, then she turns and starts to walk away again. Now I'm really confused. Why won't she answer me?

I let her get about sixty yards away before I run up to her again. This time I grab her hand. "Alice, I'm sorry, I'm not sure what I could have done wrong besides kiss you, and I thought you forgave me for that," she rips her hand away from me and I can tell she's trying to hide something. "Alice, let me see your wrist," she still hides it and continues to study the grass. She hasn't said anything. "Alice, I need to see your wrist, now," I plead.

She finally gives in. And it's horrifying. Scars decorate her arm not only on her wrist, but from the very beginning of her wrist all the way up to her elbow. The freshest cuts are a couple inches down from her hand and they have to be from earlier today, because they are still bleeding. Each cut is deeper, and longer than the last. I sit down on the grass and I pull Alice down with me.

"Alice, just tell me why you would do this to yourself,"my voice is pained. How could anyone do this to them selves? I pull Alice closer and place her in my lap. My fingers gently go over her scars one by one. This is killing me to see. "Oh, Alice."

"Don't you dare pretend you care!" Her voice strikes out out me viciously, but I look into her extremely pretty eyes and see they've gotten darker, and there are tears welling up.

"But I do care, how can you even consider doing this? I just don't understand you, Alice, and I really want to. I just met you and already you've surprised me three times. I DO care." I slide my fingers through her hair and kiss her forehead. I feel her break. She presses her face to my chest and starts crying quietly and that almost kills me. All I can do is hold her closer and pray the tears stop soon.

But the tears didn't stop. I think we sat there together for about forty-five minutes and then it began to sprinkle on us. " I should take you home Alice, I don't want you to get sick," I whisper gently in to her ear. She gives a little nod into my shirt and I guide her to my car across the park. The ride to her house is silent. She tells me when to turn left or right, but other than that she says nothing else.

"Its this house," she says and points to a fairly nice looking house across the road. I park the car and look around.

"Is anyone else home? I don't see any cars," I say.

"No, I told them to leave without me. I think they went to go visit Ryan,"she says. "They'll probably be home the day after tomorrow then." I notice she doesn't seem to want to get out of the car. "Would you mind staying for the night? I really just don't think I can be alone tonight." She says quickly while looking at her arms.

"I'll only stay if your sure you want me to."

"Harry, if you really do care, and you really do want to know me then you really should stay."

"Then I guess I'm definitely staying the night," I say and then I climb out of the car and open the door on her side for her.

(Vote vote vote darlings. Pretty please? It means a lot to me)
