The next morning, Maëlle and Samy woke up with a new determination. After the tender and intimate moments they had shared, it was time to refocus on their responsibilities, especially on the projects aimed at improving the living conditions of the people.

Maëlle, dressed in formal yet practical attire, prepared for a long day of work. She adjusted Samy’s uniform with a smile, ensuring it was impeccable yet comfortable for the day ahead. Samy watched her every movement with admiration and love. His gaze was filled with pride and devotion. He was also ready to fulfill his role as protector, aware that their mission today required both strength and sensitivity.

"You look stunning," he murmured, a warm smile illuminating his face.

Maëlle, surprised, gave him a playful look. "Thanks... But stop, or I’ll become addicted to your compliments."

They had a quick breakfast, exchanging a few words about their expectations for the day. The meal was simple yet nourishing: fresh bread and fruits. The warmth of their connection filled the room, and every shared laugh resonated like a promise of adventure.

On their way to the first village, Maëlle tried to prepare her speech. She knew the villagers were expecting concrete answers, and she needed to establish trust. As they approached the village, she noticed the surrounding greenery, the wheat fields swaying in the wind, and the curious gazes of the villagers gathering.

The first stop on their visit was an isolated village, where drinking water was sorely lacking. Maëlle had insisted that this village be one of the first to receive aid. Upon their arrival, surrounded by a few ministers and technicians, she was welcomed by the villagers, who expressed both hope and skepticism.

Samy, never taking his eyes off her, remained attentive to the crowd. Each face told a story, and although he was focused on his task, he couldn’t help but be moved by the difficult situation of these families. Poverty and anxiety were evident in their eyes, but a glimmer of hope also shone through—one that Maëlle was determined to nurture.

Maëlle stepped forward to speak to the villagers. "We are here to improve your living conditions. The first drilling will begin tomorrow, and soon you will have access to clean drinking water." Her voice was filled with compassion and determination, driven by the will to make a real difference.

An elderly man stepped forward, his face marked by years and hardship. "Your Majesty, it all sounds good… but what guarantees us that this time, it’s not just empty words?" His frank and direct question highlighted the distrust that had accumulated over the years.

Maëlle lowered her gaze for a moment, feeling the weight of responsibility on her shoulders. She hesitated, but before she could respond, Samy stepped forward, locking eyes with the man.

"I understand your doubts," he said calmly. "But know that the princess is not here to make empty promises. She chose this village specifically because she knows your struggles, and I assure you she will do everything in her power to make these projects succeed. You have my word." His voice, imbued with sincerity, had a quiet strength that helped ease the tensions.

Maëlle smiled discreetly upon hearing Samy’s words. She felt a wave of gratitude for the support he offered her, not only as a bodyguard but also as a loyal ally in this cause.

The work began quickly. Maëlle and Samy oversaw the initial steps, ensuring everything went as planned. The technicians efficiently installed the pipelines, while the villagers, witnessing this dynamic, began to glimpse a better future. Despite technical challenges and unforeseen issues, their determination did not waver.

At lunchtime, they gathered under a large tree, sharing a simple meal with a few villagers. Maëlle took the opportunity to engage in conversation. "How do you feel about these changes?"
