In this story, Mrs Afton, aka Moria, is a drunk.
Elizabeth is her favourite since she always wanted a girl and is kind to her but not Michael and Evan.
William works at the pizzeria almost 24/7 but still tries to make time for his kids.
Michael prefers to stay with his friends.

Evan pov
It's now 5am, and I'm almost didn't escape the nightmares when I heard the front door bang open. I know that Mum's been at the club, dad and Michael just left, and Lizzy is asleep. I hope she just goes to bed.

I could hear her coming upstairs and to my door. "Evan, are you awake?" I freeze. "I'M COMING IN." I start to shake as she opens the door. The smell of alcohol fills my nose, and I can't help but tear up.

She then started to hit me, yelling at me, but I couldn't hear what she was saying as she was punching, slapping, and kicking me. I start to cry when a voice comes from downstairs.

Michael pov
After my friends and I had finished for the night, I headed home when I saw our front door was opened. When I entered, I could smell beer and knew that she was home. I rolled my eyes when I heard a bang from upstairs and yelled out ,"YO MORIA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE?" I hate her (😒) then I realised that the bang came from Evans room. So I ran upstairs to his room to she her onto Evan.

"GET THE HELL OF HIM." I pulled her hair and pulled her off, then grabbed Evan and went to my room, shut and locked the door, grabbed my phone, and called dad.

Phone call
M: dad
W: Yes, what's wrong
M: she's back
W: Oh, are you guys ok
M: No, I found her hitting Evan, and he's hurt. we are in my room, please come home
W: I'm on my way

William pov
I went to my car and went home and raced upstairs and found Moria hitting on Michael's door, screaming "LET ME FUCKING IN YOU WORTHLESS PECES OF SHIT". I ran to her yelling "HEY GET AWAY FROM THEM" she turns around and tries to act all sweet "oh hunny Michael and Evan are being really rude I just want to talk to them" I laugh "ha you really think I would believe you GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW" "FINE" she storms out. I take a moment to breathe before knocking on the door "kids it's me. Can you let me in?"

Before William got there

Michael pov
I grabbed Evan and ran to my room, locking the door and grabbing my phone, calling dad when she started banging on the door, yelling for her to be let in. Evan was crying his eyes out, shaking and begging me not to let her in. I reassured him that I wouldn't. I called dad (conversation above), and after he hung up, I ran to the bathroom and shut the door, put Evan on my lap, hugged him, and tried to soothe him. When dad finally came home, Evan was asleep. I could hear them yelling, then it went quiet before I heard a soft knock "kids it's me. Can you let me in?". I sighed in relief, getting up carefully, not to wake Evan up, I go and unlock the door,

When Michael opened the door, William went for a hug. "You kids ok?"I am, but I don't know about Ev."ok, I'll get the first aid kit. Could you wake him up, please? " "yeah sure". William went to get the first aid kit in him room, "Ev" Michael shakes him gently and sets him on the bed "Evan wake up, please, dad's here, and we need to treat you"

Michael pov
Evan started to wake up but then jumped and started to panic "hey hey it's ok, she's not here. your safe, " he calmed down. "W-what's happening?", "Dad's going to get the first aid kit to fix you up, but I'm not sure what will happen after that." "I'm back." "hi dad, " "h-hi," "Evan, you ok?" dad came and sat on my bed with me, and gently stroked Evans hair, "m-my body hurts. " I felt like crying but kept strong for him, (time skip) after dad banged him up, Elizabeth walked into my room. "What's happening?" (Girl, how did you sleep through all that?)

William pov
After I helped Evan, Elizabeth came into the room. "What's happening?" I patted the bed, and she jumped on "right the plan is that we are going Henry's for a bit and have a sleepover. " "YAAAAAAAY. " "shhhhh, right, go pack your bags." "Ok" "I'll pack your bag for you, Ev,"

After we were all packed, Michael asked, "Wait, does Henry know that we are coming?", "Oh yeah, I called him when getting the first aid kit," "oh kk" we went to the car and drove off to Henry's. When we got there, he was waiting outside with Charlotte, "Hey, thanks again for letting us stay.", "Anytime, how are the kids?" "Well Elizabeth was asleep, so she doesn't know what happened, and Ev and Michael are pretty shaken up." We go inside,"Michael, Evan, your room is upstairs to the left, Elizabeth will be sharing Charlotte's bed, and William, you can sleep in my bed. ", "Thank you." we all go to our rooms.

Michael pov
Me and Evan left to our room, and we put our bags down. "Mikey," "yeah Ev," "c-could we ummm?" I kneel down. "What is it? It's ok, you can tell me," "Could we cuddle?" I smile and hug him,"of course, but let's get into comfortable clothes." He giggles, man. I've missed his laugh. We get into pjs (pyjamas) and go into the bed him using my chest as a pillow. "Mikey.", "Yeah," "what's going to happen now?", "I don't know, but let's not think about that now. Let's go to bed," I could already hear little snores and smiled to myself. "Good night, Ev,"

Btw William and Henry called the police and Moria was arrested, William divorced her and spent more time with his kids, and even if he had work, he would make sure that the kids come or someone was with them.
