The Owl group is standing proudly, wearing their own team jerseys. The tension and the excitement is palpable, as everyone is waiting for their instructor's confirmation.
- So, the Owls, today, we need competition. Be smart. Pitiless. Don't get caught, because today, we're going to play Basketball.
Eva paused and glanced at them with an amused look, one by one. Her gaze stopped on Lana's small height, before glancing at the whole group.
- Here are the teams. The tigers: Cassandra, Mary-Phoebe, William.
We look at each other and nod intently and simultaneously, waiting for Eva to tell us who we would compete with.
- Against the Girls in Fury: Audrey, Olivia and Lana.
Our three opponents smirk widely and lift their chins up, ready to battle. They stare at us as if we were small insects that they could step on easily, if they wanted to. They wanted to, yet they wanted to embarass us first. We all wait for Eva's instructors, as she smiled and blows the whistle.
The whistle resounds, as the match starts. William catches the ball, passing it from one hand to the other. He avoids Olivia, who tried to get the ball, before running towards me. I catch the ball without difficulty, as I make it bounce across the field, my hands getting sweaty. Startled by Audrey in front of me, I shift at fourty-five degrees and...goal!
Mary-Phoebe smiles at my shot, and even before Lana takes the ball, she grabs it, running towards the hoop at an incredible pace. She tries to shoot, yet it hits the corner and bounces across the field towards our hoop, hitting the corner there before getting back to Mary-Phoebe. The six of us watch in shock the ball crossing the field helplessly.
- That was luck! Olivia loses her temper.

- Wow! Eight to Zero for the tigers! Great job girls!
The losing team looks down, their shoulders slumping. Audrey doesn't say a word, keeping an unreadable expression as she rubs her hand on her dark skin, embarassed. She has nothing to say, for once.
Olivia is staring at Audrey with her amber eyes, her brown hair in a mess as the red takes her cheeks; she doesn't dare pronounce a word either.
Lana seems furious. I have never seen her like this. The redhead has her fists clenched, her gaze fixed on me as if I was a target to her. Her gaze holds thunderstorms, breaking the warmth in her emerald eyes.
- We're going to take our revenge, the nerds. Don't you dare think we'll let you win. You may have won the battle, but we will win the war.
