Draco.

Draco pointing his wand straight at Dumbledore.

That was who she saw from the space between the tiles, from the lower floor of the Astronomy tower.

Her heart didn't want to believe it. SHE didn't want to believe it. She didn't want to believe that Draco, the sweet, caring, selfless boy she fell in love with, was about to kill an old man.

"Who were you talking with?" he yelled at Dumbledore, before disarming him.

"I'm going to kill you" he yelled once again, his wand pointing straight at his principal.

Autumn was shocked even more when a few seconds later, about 6 death eaters came running in.

"Come on Draco! Do it!" a tall pale woman told him, a strange grin on her face.

Autumn saw Draco was shaking, and for a second, the idea that he wouldn't do it crossed her mind. That he was too good, too innocent, to do something like this.

That he still WAS the sweet guy she fell in love with.

But when he didn't lower his wand, she realized. He had changed. His beautiful gray eyes were now an icy blue. Not a trace of compassion in his face.

But then, the one thing she wouldn't have expected happened. Snape rushed in, and without leaving anyone time to process his presence, he pointed his wand to Dumbledore and shouted the killing curse. "Avada Kedavra!"

After a pale corpse began falling from the astronomy tower, the group of death eaters rushed out of the tower, down the stairs. Autumn followed, after she disguised herself with an illusion charm.

She followed them out into the gardens. She was about to scream what she had to say to Draco, but she heard someone else scream before her, while sending a curse after Snape. She turned around and saw Harry. "He trusted you!" he screamed and then shot more curses. She undid the illusion charm and turned back again, facing Draco.

She started to scream her lungs out. "You little bitch! How could you! You were going to kill him! And just a week ago I was sitting by your side! You are DISGUSTING!" she kept on yelling at him, while firing curses at him.

He deflected all of them with a sad expression. "Autumn, I-" he started to say, but his sad expression was the last thing she saw before blacking out, hit by a curse from Bellatrix.

Autumn's pov

When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed.

And all the memories from last night came flooding back. The shock of seeing Draco with his wand pointed at Dumbledore.

Seeing his pale face, with the ice mask on.

Seeing him running away, away from the problem, away from me.

And then I cried.

But not heart wrenching sobs, not streams of  mascara.

Just a couple of silent tears.

They weren't tears of sadness.

They were tears of helplessness, lost trust and me giving up.

Giving up on him, on us.

Giving up on our love
