Harin woke up due to the soft light filtering through the curtains, but the warmth of morning was not enough to ease the chill that lingered in her heart. She didn't know at what hour she slept, maybe she slept an hour before!? She rubbed her eyes, still feeling the weight of the nightmare pressing down on her chest.

As she sat up, remnants of the dream flashed through her mind—Taehyung's bruised face, the chains, and that generous yet terrifying smile. She shivered, pulling the covers closer as if they could shield her from the memory. After trying to brush off the memory several times, She forced herself out of bed, still feeling the fatigue seep into her bones. She went towards the mirror while tying her hair lazily.

Standing in front of the mirror, Harin saw the exhaustion etched into her face—dark circles framing her eyes, and the brightness that usually radiated from her had dimmed. She sighed deeply before dragging herself to the washroom. Even the mundane routine of washing her face and brushing her hair felt more difficult than usual, as if each motion required extra effort. When she was combing her hair, Taehyung's face flashed in her mind—his kind, sympathetic smile. Harin froze for a moment, her breath was caught in her throat. With a quick shake of her head, she tried to push the image away, but it clung to her thoughts, refusing to leave.

But could she even forget it? If so, for how long?

"Focus, Harin" she whispered to herself, trying to muster the resolve she had promised to maintain. "You have things to do, You can't just let this take over!"

She stepped out of her room and made her way to the maid's dining room, still feeling the weight of the nightmare bearing down on her. The unsettling images clung to her like a shadow, slowing her movements and making her feel as though she were wading through thick air.

When she arrived in the maid's dining room, Luna was already bustling about, her bright energy was a stark contrast to Harin's heaviness

When she arrived in the maid's dining room, Luna was already bustling about, her bright energy was a stark contrast to Harin's heaviness. "Hey! Harin, you're finally here!  Luna said, grinning as she wiped her hands full of butter. ""I was starting to think I'd have to come drag you out of bed myself! Did you sleep well?" She stated with a smile, Did you sleep well?"  All the other maids were looking at Harin's direction but she didn't pay attention to them. Harin hesitated when Luna repeated, the question was bringing a lump to her throat. "Um, yeah. Just tired, I guess." She forced a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
