Grand Prix 2: Mugello Circuit

Friday:

The free practice sessions go more smoothly; they are not perfect but the feeling of chaos is slowly dissipating: each lap feels more controlled and, while the times are not stellar yet, Micky senses more control.

Saturday:

Qualifying surprises her: finding space for a clean lap, with a focus she hasn't felt in a while, she places her in the top ten.

Finally, confidence begins to emerge.

Sunday:

The first race of the weekend goes well: she starts strong, maintains control and finishes in the top 5; the feeling of building something grows with each corner, each overtaking maneuver.

In the second and third races, she finishes even further up, just shy of the podium; the improvement is tangible.

-

Quite happy for the performance, Micky makes her way through the garage.

She feels confident, eager to share the news with her father; when she finally spots him near the back, looking over some data, she notices he's not wearing the same smile she is...

"Dad, I did good today!" she says, unable to hide her excitement as she approaches him hoping for at least a nod of approval.

Instead, he barely looks up, his expression as stern as ever.

"You could've done better" he says coldly and, without another word, he turns his back to her, walking away and leaving her standing there.

-

When she exits the garage, she sees that Marco is waiting for her in the pit lane, with a satisfied smile.

"See? You have everything inside you... You just need to keep believing!"

Hearing that words, she immediately starts crying...

Marco hugs her, he knows her father well...
