An old, black raven peered through the dark, uneven branches of a high up tree. His eyes beedy, focusing on a white horse with beautiful red ribbons tied in her hair and tail. The horse looked desperate. The raven saw some other horse walk by uneasy, its brown pelt quite hard to spot from the distance of the tree, and stopped next to the beautiful white horse.
The raven looked confused, and carefully fluttered down the tree to get in earshot, " I don't know what to do, clover. I'm out of options, mr Moore is going to sell me, to which I do not know who. If I get sold, what will be left of this inhabitant? To those who live here, and to those who scurry among the leaves? When I get took, I have no freedom for me. If we must rebel, time must act fast. And if I do not make it to the summer, I tell you to carry on this rebellion, and lead it to as far as you can go, dearest clover." The white horse said dramatically, and looked around.
The horse, presumably called clover, nodded silently, and added, " I understand, but why not tell the others? An animal of full potential, such as yourself, keep this secretive? Why, valentine? Why exactly?" Clover huffed, and looked sadly at the floor.
The raven gasped. " this is what the secret is, indeed it has been told. I must tell this story to those who are confused back at the stables and shed." The raven said and quickly flew off into the dark night.
Once the raven had reached his destination, he woken up almost all animals, apart from the cats and dogs.
" my animal friends, I have news to share. It is important that I must wake you." The raven said.
Blitzen, a male, dark blue horse, and comet, a creamy vanilla horse, exchanged a look.
" what is it now, Venus? Another story?" Comet asked.
Venus, the black raven, cautiously disagreed.
" no, not today. You see, mr Moore has tormented us for a series of seasons. And now big news must be shared. Valentine is being sold, and she is the leader of this rebellion we have come to work for." Venus shared.
" for tonight, we aid in her escape, for she cannot leave nor stay. We plan tomorrow for what will be done." Venus said and fluttered into a nest of hay above an old, rusted lantern.
One of the pigs, coral, who was tired out my her piglets, jasmine and nickel, nodded tiredly.
" but for now, my comrades. Let us sleep. For we have a long day before us." The raven got comfy and rested, the two horses and pigs slept too. Later on valentine and clover were back, and trotted carefully into their stables.
