RANDOM 3 - THE CONDO BUILDING

ONE SHOT #3

[A taxi pulls up to a huge gate that leads into a massive condo building. The place has a bit of a creepy vibe, but the design of the building is truly impressive.]

Eron: Ito na kaya yung building. (sabay baba sa taxi) Ahhh, manong pwede po bang pakihintay po ng saglit? Baka po kasi wala dito yung landlord na naka-usap ko. Balik rin po ako agad. 

[the taxi driver just nodded]

[Eron was taken by surprise when the gate suddenly swung open.]

Eron: Whoa!

[Just as he was about to step inside...]

[he heard a loud honk behind him].

Demi: Why are you standing in the middle of the road, you idiot? (while sticking her head out of her car window)

Eron: Aye! Pasensiya po. (agad tumabi sa gilid)

[The car quickly pulled into the parking lot, and without wasting any time, hopped out, headed to the back seat, and grabbed the groceries and other shopping bags.]

Demi: What are you staring at?

Eron: Ahh wala po, you want help, po?

[While in the elevator, there was a quiet moment that lasted for about ten minutes then...]

Eron: Ahh pwede po bang magtanong?

Demi: Bakit mo'ko pinupo? Mukha na ba akong matanda sayo ha? (not looking on Eron but simply just staring at the elevator's front door while asking the question)

Eron: Ahh hindi naman po, este, hindi naman. It's simply a matter of showing respect since we aren't familiar with one another.

Demi: I'm 24, just so you know. 

[elevator ding's, door open, labas na ang dalawa]

Eron: You're 24? That's awesome! We're the same age!

Demi: Just put it down. 

Eron: Ang ano?

Demi: Yang dala mo. (eyebrow raise)

Eron: Aye Oo. (quickly put down the stuff brought).

Demi: Are you planning to rent a room here?

Eron: Well, I can't seem to get in touch with the landlord of this building.

Demi: He might be busy with something outside. Which floor are you on?

Eron: I'm on the 5th floor.

Demi: You should head to your room now.

Eron: I want to, but I really need to speak with the landlord first, and I don't have the key to my room.

Demi: You stay right here.

Eron: Let me help you bring your stuff inside.

Demi: No. My room is off-limits. Just stay out here outside.

Eron: Hmm okay. 

[at the ground floor]

Demi: Hey mister, do you know where's the landlord is?

Guard: Aye, ma'am parang bukas pa po ata po yun babalik dito eh. May inasikaso lang po dun sa hospital, alam niyo na nahospital po kasi mama niya. 

Eron: Po?

Demi: You heard it? 

Eron: Okay po, salamat po. Balik nalang po ako dito bukas. Salamat din pala sayo. (to Demi)
