Five, Eight, Ten, Twelve, and Fifteen. If you were to ask me what are the numbers that mean the most to me, those are the numbers I would say. Five, Eight, Ten, Twelve, Fifteen.
I was five when my parents decided I was a liability.
I was eight when they chose to not carry that burden anymore.
I was ten when society realized I was a threat.
I was twelve when they just made me fear.
And I was fifteen when I understood what I truly was.

The police were too late when they arrived at the scene. In all honesty, everyone was too late.
I wish I could describe what it was like. What it looked, what it smelled, and what it felt to be there. I wish I could paint a picture that would encompass the incomprehensible, describe the indescribable. I wish there were enough words to explain something I barely understand. But those are wishes. The reality was that it does not matter how many pictures I paint nor how many words I use, nothing could ever compare to what it truly was.

Sone Family Under Investigation
My family had been rough from the start, it is to be expected from one of the most powerful families in all Japan. And although my family was rough, my adoptive family was wicked.
There are two things that you need to know about the Kamimura right now. They had been blessed, blessed by fate and the precious marvels of quirks. My great-great-grandfather was the closest thing to King Midas. His quirk allowed him to turn metal into gold and he had hoarded incredible amounts of wealth. So much so that Japan seemed small to him and now most of the family line is everywhere around the globe, some in the states, some in Europe and some in some other far off places where riches truly never end. Though the family money is not what it was back then, the Kamimura name was powerful enough to live a few more generations without having to work a day in our lives. In our family some have become entrepreneurs, some owners, some movie stars, and the smart ones have bought their way around life.
The second thing you need to know about my family is that although we have money and money equals power, that power is fading. Truly, the one person that had the ability to turn metal into gold was my great-great-grandfather, and although his lineage was full of powerful quirks, none of them really had the one ability they all desired. And money eventually runs out. That's when my father came along, as he bought his way around life, he also secured his future, by entering a quirk marriage with my mother. And it is safe to say that my mother's metal manipulation abilities and my father's remnant of gold creation created the perfect offspring: My brother.
There is one thing you need to know about my younger brother. If my great-great-grandfather was the closest thing to King Midas. My brother knew he was King Midas. Or so he was told. There was truly nothing he couldn't do, and when you are your family's most important asset you become the center of the world.
My father assumed he had won the lottery twice with me and my brother. But lighting doesn't strike twice in the same place. And when I became useless, I also became unbearable. They decided to go live in the states and I was not part of that plan, so they sent me to live with my mother's brother instead, my uncle who for some reason had happily accepted that offer. The reason being the incredible amounts of money he would receive every month just to take care of me, needless to say I never saw a penny. And although money buys you happiness, it might also not last very long.
