Taking an eye

The professor had arrived back from Oregon the professor had that the trip was quite eye opening. The professor entered his lab passing many large room's openly used for observation of subjects. As he passed by one of the rooms he stopped befuddled for a moment as the room looked like a murder had taken place. While he looked a bit closer he saw a bloody hammer on the ground with fresh blood. He quickly realized what had happened, he rushed to put in the access code while screaming to one of his many assistants to get the first aid kits. When he entered the room he saw one of his very first patients sitting at his work bench holding his own eye with blood dripping down from his hands and the eye.
