I thought I was pretty good at socializing because I was active in different organizations and always joined competitions that required talking to a lot of people, but my husband proved me wrong.

He alone drained my social battery within just a day, kaya kasalanan niya kung bakit hindi ako masyado nakikihalubilo sa mga tao rito.

We were the complete opposite of each other kaya hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit natitiis pa namin ang isa't isa.

When his parents' wedding anniversary ended late at night yesterday, I was knocked out to sleep because I was so exhausted. But since they'll celebrate it for two weeks, maaga ulit akong nagising kinabukasan dahil mamamalengke raw kami.

And when they said kami, it meant my husband dahil siya lang ang kasama ko ngayon.

"Do you even know how to drive that?" I asked him—referring to the tricycle dahil ang sabi niya ay iyon 'yong gagamitin namin papuntang pamilihan dahil hindi makakadaan 'yong kotse niya kasi masikip 'yong kalsada.

"Syempre naman. Sakay ka na, mahal ko," he told me as he kicked the engine to turn on the vehicle.

I stared at him in doubt but I eventually settled myself inside and he drove away.

It was still early in the morning and the sun wasn't completely up in the sky but the light was enough to get a sight of every place we passed through.

I paid attention to everything and noticed that every establishment na nadaanan namin ay pagmamay-ari ng pamilya ni Wren.

Their family business ran around branching different establishments like fast-food chains and gasoline stations. But they also have businesses that were originally theirs like the AyalaMalls Corp., Ayala WineGrapes, and Ayala CropLife Inc.

I breathed in and smiled because the breeze was cold and fresh. This province was free of pollution, unlike Liathro.

This place must be so nice to live in.

"We're here?" I asked when the vehicle pulled over to the side.

Wren didn't answer but he took my hand and guided me to go out.

I looked around the market and observed that even though it was still early, it was already packed with people kaya humawak ako sa braso ni Wren dahil baka mawala ako.

"Kinikilig ako, love. Mukha talaga tayong mag-asawa," he pointed out as he scanned my body from head to toe because I was wearing the bestida his mother gave me and I was holding a weaved basket.

I admit that he was actually right.

Mukha nga kaming mag-asawa—as if we were not.

But instead of countering him, I just held tighter on his arm because I got startled by the woman who yelled to get shoppers' attention.

I was born and raised in the City kaya hindi ako sanay na mamili sa mga ganitong lugar dahil hindi ko pa naman naranasan before.

I wasn't as wealthy as my friends or my husband but I could say that I was from a well-off family because my mother is a neurosurgeon and I grew up having my own nanny. Nawala lang siya at 'yong mga ibang house helpers namin when my family's businesses got bankrupt because my dad gambled them.

That was also the reason why I was enrolled in a prestigious school while my sisters weren't, and the reason I was a little spoiled compared to them. But I swear, I was really trying to work with that now dahil hindi na ako bata at may mga responsibilities na ako.

"Oh my god," I uttered in full worry and shock as I witnessed a man chop off a fish's head.

Aside from deciding to be a vegetarian because I wanted to be healthy, I also refused to eat meat because I didn't like putting dead animals inside my mouth.
