The next morning a rooster was crowing. Matches, annoyed that he was woken up, blasted fire at the rooster. The rooster shrieked in pain before flapping away.

"Ready for some early morning exercises, Scrappy?" Miss Grimwood asked.

"You bettcha, Miss Grimwood. Want me to wake Shaggy and Uncle Scooby?" Scrappy asked.

"No, don't bother. I've left them a wake up call" Miss Grimwood said.

Just then Skellie walked up to them with a wooden sythe leaning over her shoulder.

"I'm going outside to practice, Miss Grimwood" Skellie said.

"Alright dear, be careful now" Miss Grimwood said.

"I will" Skellie said heading out the door.

"Why isn't Skellie exercising with the other girls?" Scrappy asked.

"Since she's older, she's able to do more advanced exercises. She'll have to take up her Father's job one day so she has to practice handling a sythe" Miss Grimwood explained before chuckling.

"Although, I believe she has another reason for practicing outside in the morning"

Skellie walked over to a training dummy before brandishing her sythe. She twirled it gracefully before striking the dummy. She went through several stances and strikes before she heard a clap and a whistle behind her. She smiled before turning around to see a blonde teenage boy around her age dressed in a Calloway Cadet uniform. The oldest of the Cadets, Simon.

"Astounding! You move with the grace of an angel" Simon said dramatically.

If Skellie could blush she would.

"Aw, you flatter me" Skellie said before giving a flirtatious look.

"You know, sneaking over here, just to see little ol' me, could get you in big trouble"

Simon smirked as he walked over.

"What can I say. Something about you has me hypnotised"

Skellie chuckled.

"Carful now, one would think that your flirting with Death"

"Would that be such a bad thing?" Simon asked.

Skellie giggled as they were face to face.

Unaware to the two, the girls were spying on them from the top winddow.

"Move over!" Winnie said.

"Quit shoving!" Elsa said.

"I can't see!" Tanis said.

"Look! That Calloway boy is back again" Phantasma said.

"That's the sixth time, it must be serious" Sibella said.

"She could do so much better" Winnie said.

"Aw, I think it's romantic" Sibella said.

"Like Romeo and Ghoulette" Elsa said.

"I think they're gonna kiss!" Phantasma said.

"I wanna see!" Tanis said.

All the pushing and shoving caused the window to open with a loud slam. Simon and Skellie looked up startled by the loud noise. The girls quickly ducked down before they were spotted.

"Maybe you should head back before they notice your gone" Skellie said.

"Yeah. Oh! I almost forgot" Simon said before pulling out a wilted flower.

"It made me think of you"

To most girls that would be an insult. But to a ghoul like Skellie it was the sweetest and most thoughtful gesture. Skellie smiled as she took the dead flower.

"Aw, you're sweet" Skellie said before kissing his cheek.

An excited scream was heard causing the two to look around quickly.

"Phanty! Shh!" Winnie whispered harshly pulling the ghost girl down.

Skellie and Simon shrugged before departing. Skellie sighed dreamily as she looked at her dead flower. Simon sighed dreamily as he held his cheek.
