As I stood outside Room 101, Algebra class, my heart pounded. Taking a deep breath, I pushed open the door."Welcome, Ana," Mrs. Patel, my algebra teacher, smiled warmly. "Take a seat anywhere."
I scanned the room, noticing curious glances from my classmates.
"Hi," a soft voice said beside me.
I turned to see a girl with bright blue eyes and curly brown hair.
"I'm Sophia," she said, extending her hand.
"Ana," I replied, shaking hers.
Sophia whispered, "Hey, I'm glad you're sitting next to me."
Just then, a boy with messy brown hair and bright green eyes walked in.
"Hey, sorry I'm late, Mrs. Patel," he said, flashing a charming smile.
Mrs. Patel nodded. "Take a seat, Matt."
Matt's eyes scanned the room, locking onto Sophia and me.
"Hey, Soph," he said, plopping down in the empty seat beside us.
Sophia rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Matt, this is Ana. She's new."
Matt's smile widened. "Welcome to our school, Ana."
As we chatted, Rosa burst into the classroom.
"Sorry I'm late, Mrs. Patel!" she exclaimed.
Rosa's vibrant purple hair and infectious laugh immediately caught my attention.
"Hey, guys!" Rosa said, plopping down beside Matt.
Matt grinned. "Rosa, this is Ana."
Rosa's eyes sparkled. "Hi, Ana! Welcome to this school, but really, did you only get these stupids to sit with..
Sophia narrowed her eyes. "Shut up, rosa or I -
Sophia was cut off by our teacher..
Mrs. Patel cleared her throat. "Let's focus on algebra."
As the lesson progressed, I felt at ease with my new classmates and friends..
During lunch, Sophia, Rosa, Matt, and I sat together.
Rosa asked, "So, Ana, what do you like to do?"
I shrugged. "I love reading and music."
Matt's eyes lit up. "Me too! What kind of music?"
Sophia chimed in, "We should start a school band."
Rosa nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! We need a drummer."
As we laughed and joked, I realized I'd found true friends.

As I walked out of the cafeteria, I couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching me. I glanced around, but everyone seemed engrossed in their conversations.
"Hey, Ana, what's up?" Matt asked, noticing my distraction.
"Just feeling a bit weird," I replied, shrugging.
Sophia leaned in. "What's wrong?"
I hesitated. "I don't know. Just this strange sensation."
Rosa frowned. "Maybe it's Tiffany. She's been acting strange lately."
My eyes widened. "Tiffany? Who's that?"
The group exchanged uneasy glances.
"Tiffany's... complicated," Matt said hesitantly. "She used to be friends with us, but something changed."
