I think it goes without saying that, due to the logistics of planning and reimagining a story, not everything in my story lines up perfectly with the original canon. Like for example, this fanfiction takes place in 1917, even though the events with Tom Riddle and Myrtle actually happen in the 1940s. I'm also aware that Marvolo spends a few years in Azkaban before his death, and so on and so forth...
This is my interpretation and retelling, so it's not meant to match canon exactly or make complete sense all the time. However, I'll do my best to keep things as consistent with the original as possible.
I think it's important to get that point across because I know that some people will not like the fact that it's not 100% like the books/movie state.
